It says Steam Gifts and Steam KEYS can be offered. With humble bundle giving out links to get the keys are they permissible as giveaway prizes. If so I'll start making giveaways for some of the duplicates I've acquired.

yep =) as long as it results in the winner getting the gift - all is well!

Yes, giving away humble bundle gift links is perfectly fine.

Only for bundle gift links, gift links from store purchases are formatted differently and the key input field won't accept them.

Still you are allowed to give them away, you just have to give it to the winner via Steam or mail.

Yeah, you can give them away, I was just noting the difference as some people are unaware of it.

You can write humble gift link.

I use humble keys for most of my GA's but gifts for public ones because its much safer/harder for them to claim "dupe key provide another"

Edit: I'm surprised to see there are no takers for the key in this example, more than an hour after I posted this...

This is why I also prefer to use indiegala.com gifts links and not regular keys, but it's a little less convenient because I have to post only the string and add an explanation to the GA description. For example, I'll include the following string instead of a key: b26ebb8094...snip...0ac72205ccd2eb

...and will add the following text to the GA description (usually at the top and in boldface):

To the winner, add the key after this https://www.indiegala.com/game?game_id= (if you have any difficulties, let me know and I'll email you the key).

It works well and I almost never get any questions from winners :-)

I send those in email and the giveaway key is Check-email-for-gift-link. Works… except on Chinese users, for some reason. I often have to request a reroll after a week of no response in those cases. :/

They'll have to adapt, because indiegala links are now supported :-)

The humble bundle gift link needs to result in a Steam key, though, right? Sometimes they activate on other platforms, like Origin. (Maybe not for a while, but they have.)

I guess I'll have to check that before I put anything up. The last thing I want to do is put up a non-steam game on a site called (STEAMGIFTS)

Don't worry, both the icon and the text in the activation field will say where to redeem
