I was looking at the latest Humble Bundle and decided to drop another poll, so why not sports management games this time around? Just for fun, I decided to include a few titles that are not strictly management, but do include it as a significant gameplay element. You can find the duration / numbering of the game series or individual releases in brackets.

Also, I'd love to hear your favorite stories from sports management games, including screenshots if you feel like it. There's gotta be some FM players around here, at the very least, right? Whether its your prized Champions League trophy with AFC Wimbledon, that time you won the NBA with the Sixers, or a pole position in a Sauber car during your very first season in Motorsport Manager, let's hear about it :)

I haven't had a chance to play any sadly. But I think there's no way to really say what's a best since most likely a person would just play their favorite sport's version.

Managers are not my cup of tea, so obligatory potato post.

Actually, coming to think of it ,the only one i've really enjoyed was a long time ago, probably 94?-95? and it was in spanish. You were the manager of a La liga club, and the best part was that you could also play the games. 100s of hours spent playing a hotseat with my cousin, and classmates. Can't beat the feeling of winning the trophy with Valladolid or Rayo Vallecano (they were at the bottom back then....probably now too :))

If anyone knows the name - hit me up. :)

Well, this one time (not at band camp) I joined an American Football fantasy league...while I am not from the states and only know some teams from them being mentioned in movies/series...
So yeah, not a great success.

These days I only play our national fantasy league, and cycling fantasy leagues...I do alright in those...ish...

No Anstoss 3? Heresy!

From the listed options i have to go with the FM/CM series which i have been playing since CM2. I only buy it every 2nd/3rd year as i get plenty of hours of each one and i simply no longer have the time to play it as much anyway.

The Eastside hockey series (going all the way back to its freeware days) and OOTP are 2nd and 3rd for me.

Aside from the basketball managers, rugby manager and nfl head coach, i also played at least one entry of the other series. I also used to play hattrick but got bored of it eventually and still play in some NFL/NHL fantasy leagues on yahoo.
