Testing out a custom rule that I will use on future GAs. I'm not going to try and explain the whole thing, but if you pass the filter then good luck to you!

Here's a possibly slightly readable form of the requirements:

(
    ((level==0)&&(num_won==2..5)&&(real_won_nonbundled==0))

    ((level>=1)&&(num_won<10&&real_sent_cv>0.1*real_won_cv)&&(real_won_nonbundled<real_sent_nonbundled+20))

    (
        (level>=2)
        &&
        (
            (real_sent_region_free>0.5*real_sent_cv)

            (real_sent_region_free>real_won_cv)
        )
        &&
        (
            (num_won<=num_sent)

            ((num_won<=5*num_sent)&&(real_sent_nonbundled>0.5*real_won_cv))
        )
        &&
        (real_sent_region_free>=0.7*real_won_region_free)
        &&
        (real_sent_public+real_sent_private>=0.5*real_won_cv)
    )

    ((level>=5)&&(real_sent_nonbundled>real_won_nonbundled)&&(real_sent_public+real_sent_private>=real_won_cv))

    ((level>=7)&&(num_sent>=3*num_won)&&(real_won_cv<0.8*real_sent_cv))

    ((level>=9)&&(num_sent>=1000)&&(num_sent>num_won)&&(real_sent_public>1000))
)

hmm passed the filter.
I am not sure if you intended to make it this way but lower level requirements also apply to higher level users since you used level>=x
So basically if you pass any of the lower level requirements you pass the filter even if you are high level.
Maybe you wanted to do (level>=2 && level<5) if you meant only that level range?

Nope it is intended that way. The higher the level the more ways a user can pass the filter. Otherwise the level 9 part would be pretty brutal, because you can get to level 9 with a lot fewer than 1000 giveaways.

Only the level 0 section is treated differently as I require them to have won at least 2 giveaways before because they haven't created any before and I want them to know how the site works, so they mark the giveaway received.

I initially liked the level 0 idea (requiring at least 2 wins), but I'm not sure anymore. It's nice to be someone's first ;-)

I'm also not too worried about the extra work to create a Request Received Feedback ticket, because in over 400 giveaways I only had to do it once, and it was with a user who already had wins.

I can still be someone's first, but only if they've done at least one giveaway before.

I don't think I've ever had to do a request giveaway feedback ticket, but I'd still prefer to avoid (well, lower) the chance of it happening.

It's not uncommon for users, who eventually become contributors, to first have have doubts that this site is for real. Winning a game normally removes these doubts. I don't think such users should get worse odds compared to those who already won some games.

In any case, I'll take my chances on this one. If it becomes an annoyance I'll adopt a similar approach, but first I want to see that it does.

Truth be told, I don't expect many level 0s with 0 giveaways would even be trying the filter in the first place, as they probably aren't in the forum.

I've got nothing to back this up but I expect the normal experience for most new users would be in entering mainly public giveaways. I know you've got a thread specifically for people who haven't won a game but that will of course already draw in those that have enough familiarity with the site to even use the forum in the first place.

I think the doubts you described are like what I experienced when I joined too. Once I won the Galactic Arms race giveaway (the 25k copies one), some time after that I started creating giveaways.

You missed only one criterion:
real_won_nonbundled<real_sent_nonbundled+20
Winning Fallout 4 really ruined your ratio for this filter, but at least you have an awesome game to enjoy. :D

well, you clearly win the contest for most complex rule ever xD (poor Yirg needs to step up his game now ^^ )

just to note: region restriction filters are rather ineffective as groups with people from the same region often don't mark GAs correctly.

Other than that, I can't believe to have actually passed here ^_^
