https://www.gog.com/connect

17 GOG Connect titles, including: Hotline Miami, X Rebirth, Anno 1404, Dex, Shadow Warrior (2013), The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut*, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, etc.

Eligible until Sunday, October 2, 9:59 PM UTC.

*Redeeming The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut will also add all of its predecessors; Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition includes the classic Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga. Additionally Shadow Warrior comes with the DX11 version.

EDIT: Anno 1404/Dawn of Discovery mix-up seems to be fixed, US citizens can now claim it too:

We added a bunch of new IDs, so please try again now. You may need to reload the page (Ctrl+R) first.
If it doesn't work, please send me [GOG support] a link to your Steam games library - this will let me check exactly what versions of the games you have, and see if there are any changes that need to be made on our end.

Thanks to jims9350 and stlpaul.

Official news post seemingly states that they will add new titles every day: never mind, misread.

I think this refers to the sale, not Connect. The section about Connect only starts after this paragraph.

Hrmm ... I could register my Anno 1404 Gold Eidtion without any problems.
However, it's not recognizing the Masterplan which is also listed. Already
tried refreshing several times, alos waited for while after setting my Steam
profile to public, since I added "The Masterplan" on Steam only yesterday or so,
but now I'm getting nervous ... I don't want to leave my Steam profile world
readable for much longer. Guess I'll just scratch "The Masterplan".

Could you please explain to me why making your Steam profile public for a short time would make you nervous?
Just a question, feel free to answer or not. I just always wonder why people would choose for a private account. I personally am always suspicious towards people with a private account, makes me wonder what they have to hide...
In no way an attack, I'm just curious.

EDIT: My Masterplan registered just fine.

Yeah, I've had this conversation several times before, so I understand both
arguments. To sum it up, I'm very fond of privacy. I strictly dislike smartphones
and social media. And Valve, like most companies on the internet, also collects
way to much data. I try to limit their data access by blocking the Steam client
by firewall, having it in offline mode for everything but farming cards or
registering/downloading new games, but that doesn't change the fact that an
open profile still displays sensitive information like how many games I own, since
when and when I play them - to everyone on web, they don't even need a Steam
account of their own! "Oh you played Skyrim until 4am? Tsk tsk..." That's really
nobody's business, so I keep it restricted to friends and try to keep my friend list very
small. I can understand that this may raise suspicion among folks who trade a lot
or do multiplayer. I don't multiplayer and only trade very rarely with folks I know
and who are on my friends list, so they have access to my profile in case they
want to check everything's in order.

You're welcome. Still strange, that Anno worked just fine (without even
switching my profile to public) and it just won't find the Masterplan.
Oh well, closed the profile again ... gonna try it again tomorrow.

My situation is almost identical to you. I keep my account private, except for friends. I have about 15-20 friends at most on Steam. I also stay off social networking, etc. I have had one person where I won a giveaway wanting to see my profile so I invited them as a friend so they could take a look. I am happy to do that where I can control the situation.

More on topic. I just synced and got Masterplan. When syncing I find that I need to leave the profile open for anything up to 10 minutes sometimes before sites can sync/see things.

Thanks, and yeah I suspect it's a chaching problem and I just need to leave the profile open for longer. However, I already did leave the profile open for almost an hour or so... didn't help.

EDIT: it finally worked. Very quickly so, didn't have to leave the profile open for long.

What "profile" is this referring to?

Can't seem to get GoG to recognize I own the games.

Your steam profile. Once you linked your steam account, you need to make it
public until GoG recognizes the games.

My Steam profile is pretty much always kept public, so this shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for the quick feedback.

Is it possible that you had Anno for a while and used GOG connect before? It could have cached the list of games and used that to check your eligibility.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yes that's possible, in fact, you describe the situation very accurately. I had Anno for more than a year already, while I only just activated the Masterplan from the recent Nemesis Bundlestars-bundle. However, isn't the refresh button supposed to update the cache? If not, how am I ever gonna get it updated? I definitely left my profile open for like an hour or so and tried again and again.

They can only do so many request per hour to the Steam API so they have to queue the requests when they get hit with a high volume of people trying to use the service. You might want to try at different hours or in a few days when there are less people trying at the same time. (you have until October 2nd to do it)

Trying at different hours worked like a charm. Got it now, had to leave the profile open not even a minute this time. Thanks for your help.

How to disconnect your Steam account added after the games?

Permalink

I doubt you can because of abuse.

Yea, you can't:
Important: You can connect only one Steam account with your GOG.com library. This process is permanent – choose wisely!

Added 9 games! They make the Witcher 3 and then they give us DRM-free version of Steam games we already own. I love you, CD Projekt.

Once you have imported a game and own it on Steam, it's yours to keep for good. If a game is removed from your Steam account for any reason, such as through manual deletion or a refund – we reserve the right to remove the games from your GOG.com library.

quick question, where does one usually find the date until the games are available for the gog connect? Like I thought that was the date of the sale they have on gog when it ended, does that also apply to the games from gog connect too?

You need to own any eligible game to check the date, I just saw it and it says "4 days".

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

They have added games every month, so my guess is, that will be some time at the end of october.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

They've not. There were no new batch in July. Last month's batch coincided with the release of Master of Orion (and was for the first 3 MOO titles), and this month's batch coincided with their sale. So it looks like they'll add new batches when there's something special going on.

There is no schedule, it happens when it happens.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

They have averaged 1 per month so far, but the actual timing has been very irregular (2 back-to-back, followed by 2 months with nothing, followed by an exceptional-seeming promotion, and now this one) so it's hard to predict. I'd expect the next one in 1-2 months. There really isn't any rule though - it just happens whenever.

Do you ever say Thank you when you ask something and other people take the time to help you or is that not really a thing where you are from ?
