This thread should clear things up. https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/Nxch7/cant-make-giveaway-because-game-not-listed

Thanks, I wasn't aware that games which have been given away for free makes them ineligible on here. In particular because they weren't (all) free to me. :P

Games that were given away for free on sites like indiegala are removed from that giveaway list. It could be that you've seen these games, when they were still on the list, because the game was not free at that point or they weren't removed fast enough from that list by the mods. You can just give these keys away in the forums, there are certainly people who missed these free promotions and woudl still want those.

Yeah, I'll probably end up doing something like that. It's a shame that there isn't a giveaway section on here for free games. It wouldn't have to give you any points towards your level, or cost you any points to join, but it would still allow you to give games away in the familiar SteamGifts manner that we all know and love.

Well it would also mean extra work for support members that would still have to moderate these giveaways and there would probably be an incredible amount of these free giveaways, just because people can. Reasons could be to promote stuff(?) or improve their ratio.
I believe that, while the thought is honest, this could also turn into something really nasty :D

I see what you mean. It could be made an unmoderated section, but then again, that might just become the biggest chaos ever. :P It's just... I don't want to just post the key on the forums; that just lets anybody pick the key up, even if they own the game... also, it makes it first come, first serve, rather than the more fair (IMO) lottery style giveaway... :-/

Maybe you could ask people to post in your thread f they want one of the games, and after a set amount of time you just choose a winner (or let RNG decide) and give them the key. Maybe that's more satisfying, than just letting them get ninja'd

The ones I've tried to give away so far but haven't been able to are

I would figure OP. That if you wish to do giveaways. Try starting at the Humble Bundle. Sure you have to pay for the bundle $1 at least But at the very least that would work out.
Unless of course you found a game on steam for like .45cents and decided to buy multiple copies of to send to your friends.
Like Psychonauts last year. It was under a buck and I bought like..25 copies of it for my friends? Yea. Didn't do the gifting via Steam Gifts but nevertheless its worth checking out if you had dosh bro.
(Even with a chump like me making ends meet paying for Satellite Internet. I at least try to buy at least $5 worth of humble Bundle in a month for my friends. But if you can't afford it. Simply don't.)

Every game I have that I want to give away is missing from the giveaway list. It's kind of frustrating. Especially because I'm almost certain I've seen at least one them given away by others on here. I guess I just have really crappy games to give? -_-
