Steam chat is an option, yes, as is any secure method of messaging the winner (email, Discord, Zoom, etc.). I don't think you actually need to use steamgift's system to send the keys at all (I know of several giveaways that had the winner simply buying the game for the winner), it's simply the easiest and most convenient option available to steamgift users. The system only checks for whether or not the winner has the game activated following the giveaway's end, after all, and so long as you made a good faith attempt to deliver the promised keys support should be sympathetic if any issues do arise. I would suggest contacting support beforehand to smooth out any possible issues, but at the same time I think we all know they're a bit overworked and liable to ignore the ticket for a good while.

3 keys means 3 copies of the game. so there will be 3 winners.

you won't be giving them to one winner.

you could email them the keys - winners emails are shown to you.
you could add them on steam and msg them and take it from there as well.

does that answer your question ?

most likely he has three keys that combined give everything from the Collection...

ah good point.

I was having trouble understanding what he meant, specially since he's given away 196 games lol.

Now I get it.

Also - the Batman Arkham Collection appears to have the tag 'removed' (from steam) on SGifts, even though I can access it on Steam, and it is available for purchase.

Not sure why SGifts is showing it as removed.

I don´t think 3 keys automatically refers to 3 copies of the game, you can still set amount of copies manually - set to 1 should only draw one winner, if I understand correctly ..
edit - you´re right, putting in keys dissappears the number of GAs option ; )

also not sure about that removed thing - theoretically I can create a fullCV value GA for that collection !?
Where is SG showing it as removed, if I may ask ?

I have the ESGST extension installed. One of the features it has, is to provide tagging options.

So when I tried to check by creating a giveaway for Batman Arkham Collection, it showed the tag for games removed from Steam - 'removed' (when typing "Batman Arkham Collection" in the name of the game to giveaway).

hm, at least check with steamdb first, if not SG support, which packages actually exist for these apps.
even if you give the winner all these keys, I imagine it might still not count as that specific package and cause problems therefore ?!

edit: technically I believe you could just do the GA with one key and put all the others in after the draw via modify just before you hit send key ..
again, I´m not sure I would risk it

Was it called the Batman Arkham Collection on Humble ?

And, to clarify, is it 3 keys which EACH include those 3 games (3 collections), or 1 key per game

Sounds like you have the option to make 3 giveaways for each of those games (1 per game) or make 1 giveaway for the Arkham Collection, if I understand correctly.

As the people above said: Giving three keys that include all the items of the collection can cause problems for the winner (-> not activated win) since the steamIDs are different for the packages. So it would be better to give the keys seperatly away.

I think you should clarify your OP to mention that the Batman Arkham Collection appears to be 'removed' on Sgifts.
Also clarify whether you mean 3 keys of the Batman Arkham Collection or 3 keys of the 3 Arkham games that make up the BACollection.

I was having trouble understanding what you meant.

Not sure why it's tagged as being removed from Steam because I can access and buy it through the store.

You can do it through Steam, or through the email. There will be no problems. Also, if the winner already has one of the games, you may not give the key to it, as the winner will not receive an extra copy, so you will save a copy of the game, and all the rules will be met.

Giving all keys to one person would be different from Arkham Collection tho. Their app ID's and stuff.

I think you should create 3 different giveaways for 3 different games.

As far as I know, if you choose the right game/sub/package in the GA, you can delivery it any way you can: mail, steam chat, SG won page.

Actually, I thought it was better than the live action one that was released in theaters last month. I suggest checking out both if/when you're able to. 😁
