Added perks for contributors?

1. It's great that you contributed so soon.

2. The point of contributing for most people is the great feeling you get when you make your giveaway. All that thanking and stuff is real nice. I don't see why there is any point to complain about more perks, because I don't think there's anything better than having giveaways with better chances.

TLDR: He wants perks for giving away many games when many others who are giving more aren't complaining, its a giveaway site, dont make it another pay to get more chances at free stuff site

I do giveaways cause I like being generous and I enjoy the warm fuzzy feeling inside from it, can't that be enough for you? I don't really see the point in "giving away" games if you expect something in return for it.

CG did a fair few contributor gifts awhile back and set the price at 50 100 and I think the highest might have been 300 or 500
As for points they generally amass a lot faster with bundles that can be spammed with high cost at low value, could try asking support or something about getting certain bundles lowered in value, who knows.. Iron Clads was dropped to 1
As for more incentive to contribute give, extra entries are a no everyone should have the same chance at a giveaway (and if the people that get two chances in a draw for say contributions over 400 and they enter a giveaway with something with contrib limit of 400 everyone will have two chances, so its still back to being the same odds. You could look around for joining groups, I know there are some pretty fun ones out there I guess basically it comes down to what you want in the community and finding it

you have the contributor status, and the infinite thanks/love of the people who won those games... so yeah... you don't get proffits for giftting...

Why should we stop with perks? I want kill-streaks and attachments. And nukes.

Contributor value was recently added for contributors to feel rewarded; but the main goal is for people who want to gift games to be able to do so easily. It's not a reward based action.

I think the contributor giveaways are good enough. Try the SG Enhancement add on, you can filter it to only see contributor giveaways.

Shouldn't be about rewards really. But about giving. The contrib. giveaways are enough IMO.

Not a good idea, even more people would be exploiting the system and getting lots of contributor.

a "gift" is something you give, expecting/wanting nothing in return.

There already are websites I could name that do the things you mentioned in your post. Specifically "the more you contribute, the more shots you have at any giveaway you choose to enter", for example. If the way things are on this particular website don't satisfy you, well, there are others to choose from that would perhaps better suit you. It's good to have diversity.

You should do giveaways because you enjoy it, not because you're going to profit from it in the long run. I'm actually kind of sad because I won't be contributing much this year while I'm broke as all get out in college, but I feel good about what I've contributed so far.

And while you feel that you may not be rewarded, just wait for the period where you can't afford to give away any games. If karma is a real thing (I don't think it is, but that's not the point) then it will come back for you.

I understand what you are trying to say but people give what they can, some more then others, but at least the people who cant give much are giving something. you repeated "out of their own pocket", and 1 buck or 50 bucks... its still out of their own pocket

Do a bunch of giveaways with games that youve obviously bought on sale,
go to the forums and ask for perks for your "400$" contribution

If you don't want to contribute anymore, then don't. I doubt you'll be missed.

I think once you contribute over $X value, you should get an option to disable advertising on the site.

There is a site with a lot of perks for contributors (or donators), its Playblink.

I like this site because mainly the community is very funny. It reminds me of my old guild in games, they're a lot more friendly than other sites I've known.

But giving away things is more of an option, it sounds to me like you expect something in return. It's already nice that we have contribution points, in fact I saw a guy yesterday who contributed over $3,000 worth of giveaways and never even entered one himself.

So... just giveaway games if you want to, not because you HAVE to.
