You also have the ability to refund physical goods, that doesn't mean that caveat emptor should be thrown out of the window. Not to mention that some research would save time and money too, especially when refunds aren't guaranteed nor immediate.

I don't know you and you didn't refer to me, BUT I'll try to point out a few lines and hopefully you'd rethink what you said, which I think it may be correct for others BUT in THIS CASE does not apply:

Rocksteady and Warner Brothers are NOT indie devs that don't know what they are doing and also don't lack MILLIONS in producing good quality products

Iron Galaxy the 12-ppl company they chose to outsource the PC version (console ones were developed by Rocksteady/WB) had -to my knowlegde- NO IDEA of PC development as they never did one or even a PC port. Plus, they gave them 8 weeks, what can you do with no experience, no enough staff and no supervision? That's right: that's what PC market got. you say the word.

If they care at all, they will retake this and rethink how to make up for the SHHH they done/allowed/etc etc and if not, be forever branded as the lame lazy ass greedy effing company they are. People should FFF'ing wake up from their slumber and grow some balls, let them know this is not right, it's not fair and it's not what you paid for. I'm not even speaking of fps and effects/filters that consoles have but not PC, no, I'm beyond that, this is critical: PC port does not work, it's completely messed up. How bad you have to be to mess up an older engine and having previous base game? how little do they care of us? of you paying customers with your hard earned coin?

Unity came out broken, yeah but not THIS broken. Mortal Kombat X also came out broken even now many people complain it doesn't work. Tell you what, Mad Max will also come broken because it's made by the SAME people!

Every AAA title (since few years now, apparently is an OK thing now) that the games be released broken and in need of patches, even some in the form of PAID DLCs!. The excuse of AAA releases with problems doesn't justify what they done, doesn't justify when they also delayed the game presumably to fix things.

Think of GTAV. Delayed many times and too long, sure, let's throw our hate, fine, BUT when the PC port did came out, was FLAWLESS! ran perfect silky smooth on several configs, even on lowpowered (crappy) PC and laptops. So, nextgen, new engine, whatever, what's their excuse now? delay? fine, better for us gamers (console and PC alike), better testing yaddayaddayadda, turns out it was all a LIE, port is shit, broken beyond repair. No, few patches wont solve CORE problems. This is deliverated sabotage, they don't care about PC market and I'm so glad I could not afford it because I'd be chopping my balls now if I'd paid for this, in this state.
Refund, critic, sink, rant, yell, do whatever you need/want to do, this is garbage and they need to hear it, we dont deserve this, we don't want this.
Back to your topic, defending them, I say to you: you're comparing an unexperienced guy with no team, no knowledge, no funds and no help to take an AAA title. Why on earth would he do that? new devs never take as first project something that big, it's common sense, you don't bite more than you can chew! Wake up dude! Are you a Rocksteady/WB PR?
I've not mention Denuvo, why wasn't it mentioned before? do you know the damage/strain it causes to your hardware? SSD, micro 100% all thetime... Best they can do is aknowledge their f*ck up, suck it up and FIX it, withraw this crap and make a decent port, GTAV style, MGSVTPP style, they have the means to do it!

Alright I lost myself in the pool of thoughts, so I'm only going to say a few words: Complaining about any new games being bad is really irrelevant and stupid lately, since everyone knows that every single AAA title is going to be poorly optimized. Although you do have the right to complain about these things, it's really useless. People should atleast complain somewhere else, somewhere where the devs can see it. Oh I think I get it, tho I don't have to agree with it. Your point is valid and for that people would not preorder because of how poorly the games are released. But I'm curious, where would be a good spot outside their control? I thought SG forums were ok since we're a gaming community. Thought it suited perfectly. tell you what, play a shooter or 3rd person in PC, 60fps or more. Then now try the same game in console. IF you don't throw up in despair because of the abrupt change/reduction in movement, speed, reaction etc, then my friend it's too late for you :P

I think you may have misinterpreted what I was saying, I love pc gaming to death and would never trade it for anything, but sometimes lazy ass game companies just cant design the game for pc if they make it on console, so they port it... some ports are very good don't get me wrong, but I do own a ps4 for when ports go bad, example, farcry 4, the port was terrible, but the game itself is great, so I play on ps4, pc is definitely better, but sometimes console is the only way... unfortunately. I also enjoy playing sports games, and they are NEVER good on pc If they make them for pc, im sure we can agree on that.

It's late so I'll make it short :P we can agree on exclusive titles and having a console seems to be a good idea, yeah :)
I'm not against console gamers; I'm against the companies that dont do stuff properly and the outdated consoles that hold PC off (en ultimately consoles itself too, no improvements no pushing limits then no need for better hardware).
Anyway, many ppl think PCs are expensive and that you can't use them with a pad and a TV on your couch, and they are so wrong! you can build cheap and powerful PCs, you can hook them to your 52 inch screen and HT and play cozy on your couch, plus gaming libraries and offers make them way cheaper, not to mention you dont need monthly fees!
Last but not least, FC4 patched (4 or 5 I think, dont own it) runs silky smooth now so even that when launched may have ran awful, now it's perfect and it's better than the console version in every way. It's not war, it's simple: consoles simply don't have the juice to run it to it's full potential, this is mostly the source of all the hate, but we're all gamers :)

We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards. Props to them for acknowledging the issues, even if they attempt to downplay it ("some" lol).
But still, this shouldn't have been a problem in the first place. If they were smart they'd go into some explanation and apology as to why they fudged the PC release so badly.
I don't know if suspending sales is the best move, especially if they plan on fixing it, but I suppose it's better than pretending everything is fine and getting more complaints I guess.

Ubisoft offered Far Cry 4 as compensation for the AC Unity flop. RS should offer some kind of compensation, Season Pass for free maybe? Imagine I only had 1 game, what would I play in the meantime? :s LOL

I disagree, yeah Origins lacked Conroy and lacked the polish of the previous games (certainly had infinitely more than this though), but at the same time never have I felt more like Batman.
The previous two games had to force plot devices to give you your arena...slightly ludicrous ones as far as I'm concerned. Origins however was Gotham, and gave you the chance to patrol it like Batman does rather than trapping you in an intentional arena (even if it is huge). It was an awesome experience, even without Conroy and with the disjointedness that the various subplots had.
Origins is the closest one could ever get to playing a Batman TV series episode, dozens of episodes.

I love how everyone in here is saying not to pre-order like this was just some game.
Newsflash! This was the conclusion of a series of games that has always been solid in the past and that we've loved for many years. There was zero reason to expect getting burned Day 1. And that aside one wants to play the final epic chapter yesterday, not 3 years down the line when there have been infinite chances of spoilers, especially when whatever is next is discussed.
This is not some disconnected AAA game that's shat out every year, this the 3rd game of a series we know and love, that had quite a bit of time to develop, certainly enough to expect an experience as good as Origins on release (which had it's share of bugs on PC).
