It would help if you write about some you've already seen and what you liked or disliked about them

The plot of the first one:
After a horrible boating accident kills her family, Angela, a shy and sullen young girl, moves in with her eccentric aunt Martha, alongside her protective cousin Ricky. One summer, Martha sends the kids to Camp Arawak. Soon after their arrival, a series of bizarre and increasingly violent accidents begins to claim the lives of various campers. Who is the twisted individual behind these murders? The disclosure of the murderer's identity is one of the most shocking climaxes in the history of American cinema.
Actually, I will just leave it at that, the second one ties into something you find out about in the first. There are 3 that I know of in the series.
EDIT: The series is from the 80s

Oh, it's definitely a stupid series :)
Reading about A Serbian movie however makes me NOT want to watch it, I'll just have to take your word for it :) I don't mind some light torture porn, like Saw and Hostel but some movies take it a bit to far for my tastes and that sounds like one of them. It did remind me of a movie that is similar, Grotesque (2009), it had an interesting ending that kind of makes the movie worth sitting through if you don't mind watching that type of movie.

i dont even know if it's pointless to recommend the classics
Are you more into, the suspenseful 70s horror, the gory 80s B-fest or the "throwing shit at the screen" 2000+?
Are substitles are problem for you? are you squeamish?
Cant recommend anything without an example of something you enjoyed, basically

You probably should write what kind of movies you seen and what kind of movies you want to see (scary horrors, psychological horrors, gore horrors, doesn't matter as long as there's monster?).
Not really into movies, only can recommend classics: Alien, The Thing, Evil Dead (1st one is about scaring people, later they go into more laughter - it lately received a TV Show). And from something more fresh, Cabin in the Woods, mild spoiler here which is also a commentary about whole genre.

Going for something different, Frailty (Bill Paxton movie). From wikipedia, "The plot focuses on the strange relationship between two young boys and their fanatically religious father, who believes that he has been commanded by God to kill demons disguised as people"

Lights Out, Aliens, Nightmare On Elm St., Dawn Of The Dead (2004), Evil Dead (OG if you want something old school, remake if you want something scary), American Werewolf In London, Cabin Fever (if you want something gory), The Shining
Also, here are a few comedies that horror fans will probably like. Shawn Of The Dead, Tucker & Dale vs Evil, Scary Movie
