Worth it?
The European Shipping comes from the Netherlands
Where is my package shipped from?
Steam ships all Hardware orders either from a warehouse in the United States located in Carol Stream, Illinois, or from a warehouse in the European Union located in Tilburg, the Netherlands.
I think thats the reason its so fast for You :)
I hope the deliver so fast to Aachen its on the border to Netherlands :)

Yeah, but that doesn't mean anything, it seems. First the button said "out of stock" for me. Then I reloaded the page, it changed to "order". I entered all my information, but when I wanted to pay it said out of stock again. Seems to me the button is buggy.

Uhm, and after pressing the pay button like 20 times, it suddenly worked. xD
I guess these are really the last ones, and some people are cancelling their orders. So it jumps back anf forth, from out of stock to available. xD

Same here.
I just found an almost new controller at a local second-hand site for 35 euros (shipping included). I might take it, since it seems it's pure luck to actually manage to go through the purchase process...
15 euros more, but I think soon the used ones will be also more expensive, all the people who missed the last ones from Steam will look for alternative sources :)

Basically since it first went out of stock, you need to park a shopping cart on the last checkout screen, and keep refreshing the store in another tab to see when it's back in stock and then check out. That's what people on deals websites said, anyway.
They have different theories at what times restocks happen.

Does the lack of an "Add to card" button mean it's out of stock, or that it's unavailable in my country?

someone experiencing order annulment? I don't understand.. I see from a link order status: Cancelled, from another link: Processing..
it's weird because I placed the order yesterday in the morning and it seems they still have some because someone is still buying it..

+1 - T*m experiencing exactly the same: order status:: cancelled, but besides no notification and no money back (neither steam wallet, nor Paypal).

Did someone order a skin and the controller?
If so, did you had to pay the shipping for both items or only the shipping for the controller?
Also, does anyone know if the skin is worth it?
1.10€ for the skin but 5.10€ for shipping.
I just checked my shipping status and it said:
"Shipping status: Canceled"
Yikes, hopefully its just a bug or wrong status, because I also didnt got any money back.

as someone noted on a steam thread, that line actually says "Shiment status cancelled", not order. So I don't know maybe they were just too lazy to change that line to a correct one or it's only a matter of shipment issues due to the large number of units sold..

someone else got refund for controller? like a me? they canceled and already refunded to my wallet :((, ordered 27.11 4pm

I think he ordered his on the 27th and got confused as 1 day ago he said yesterday. https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/G3lNC1X
I ordered mine on the 26th (and i was doubting on buying it and wanted to wait at first..) and it arrived here yesterday just fine, and we are both from the same country.
I think when it got sold out the first day something automatically made it "refill" each time by accident or there are atleast 2 places it is shipped from USA and the Netherlands, maybe one of them had no stock left while the other had.

I bought one when they were first announced....I have maybe used it 3 times since.
It was a nice concept but the controller is horrible for any game that you can use a controller for, may as well just use a PS4 controller (or Xbox if you want)
For games that do not support controllers it can be nice, but only if it's not high paced. (so Turn based games etc)
In short, even if it was free, I'd say it's not worth it. (And this is coming from a devoted steam fan boy)

Ok, I have ordered my steam controller 27.11. and today I have got message, that they have refunded my purchase. I am really angry. You can buy something, but we will decide 3 days later, that we won't send you anything, In my country this behaviour is totally unprofessional and all merchants in same case at least apologize to customer.

I only wanted to express my disappointment :( I live in EU, but I am not going to do nothing about it. I am just really terrified how they handle with customers. If they know how many products they have in-stock, they shouldn't sold more. I don't prefer to pay for something before it is delivered to me, so I can check that it is not damaged etc.

Good news: if you missed this one, not only the patent for a revision leaked in december 2018, as I posted earlier in the thread, but Valve literally updated the patent 3 days ago with even more features (inherited from the index knuckles)
https://patents.google.com/patent/US20190291000A1/en
touch sensitive triggers and bumpers
4 grips
force sensing touchpads
Rev 2 here we go

Just think about it : They sell a gamepad for 5$ and they even make profit by doing so.
Now imagine how low the production cost for one gamepad is... yea.
5$ is a good price and it's worth it (but only without shipping cost lol).
I'm using cheap 5-10$ gamepads (3,50$ when I bought it) from china since years (no shipping cost). They have the same quality as Sony or Microsoft ones.

they are not making a profit. this is a closeout for discontinued product.

I'm really interested in those Chinese gamepads you bought from China that are good. Could you share the source with me privately (via Steam for example), please?

Just check out Ebay. It's full of cheap replica stuff from china.
Xbox Gamepad for example:
https://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_osacat=0&_odkw=xbox+gamepad&_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313.TR1.TRC0.A0.H0.TRS0&_nkw=xbox+gamepad&_sacat=0
Price is 9,99€ - 12€ for this one.
You just need to remember, for this one Your computer will handle it as normal gamepad and not as xbox controller, since it's just a replica which looks like xbox gamepad on the outside.
