I'd say the Mount&Blade series. Ignore the "with fire and swords" expansion though, it's an abomination which wasn't made by TaleWorlds.

Revelations 2012.

"On the Rain-Slick: Precipice of Darkness Episodes 1&2". Episode 3 is not bad but the first ones were realy good, sadly they got terrible sales and the series got canceled (for a while).

I don't understand all the hype about criticizing CoD or EA just cause it's the cool thing to do...
I have nothing against them, The CoD series have been my favourite fps series ever and EA? I don't understant the hate towards them... They just make some of my favourite gamws like Fifa, NFS and The Sims, just to mention a few that ppl avoid like the plague just to be internet cool /tough i bet in the end, they still end up playing them)

Haven and Hearth

Prince of Persia 2008 is a shame amongst PoP games. It is sooo boring, collecting those lights, never fighting more than one enemy at a time, and it has very boring characters and a very cliche storyline. Not at all what the Sands of Time trilogy offered just before. Sure that trilogy ain't perfect, but there were a lot of upgrades along the way, the third and final instalment being nearly perfect. But Forgotten Sand and 2008 weren't even close to SoT.

Otherwise, No More Heroes is an original franchise that is quite underrated. Any geek should try it out even if for the story alone.

STALKER Series and Metro 2033.

Siren: Blood Curse was amazing, and I never hear or read anything about it.
