I just realized that my cv was raised because of Star Wars Republic Commandos price glitch. My bad :P

Sounds fun. Idk if wanna joinz though. In so many groups. :/
I like how funny the system is. When you lose, not only do you lose but you have to create a giveaway lol. And the winners not only have to create a giveaway but they get to win a game. xD
EDIT after 20 seconds: Important question. How often will the tourneys be held? :o Daily? Weekly, Monthly? Quarterly?

Actually the important question is the match timing. If I remember correctly, last time it was a flat bracket, and each match took up to several weeks to finish. By the end of the 2nd month or so, people were dropping out left and right because it was taking way too long.

I was involved in the last tourney, and despite getting [temporarily] knocked out by a scammer who was subsequently banned, it was entertaining :3 Too bad it never finished...
If you still have any space, I'd certainly like to join.
Thanks for organising this :)

I was in the last group as well. Too bad it never finished due to people randomly dropping out - I don't remember too much but I guess the rules weren't as strict. Reserve invite for next time because I can't be on SG 24/7 anymore now that I have a job.
Edit: oh nevermind, I think you still have room. Invite please? :P

I usually save up games for group puzzles (15 first one, 45 second one, over 45 this time), but I think I'm all burned out from making them. Seriously, 100+ hours spent in the week preceding release is simply not a fun endeavor.

I'd love to join. =)
Oh, I remember. Had an idea back then. I named it the "Biggest Loser" or something. Pretty much this but the loser would instead advance to the next round. The title would belong to the participant who did not win anything in the end, though there is a AAA game as an award to the unlucky champion.

Sounds like a fun idea. I'm interested if there are places still open.
One question about timing - is this a single event or ongoing? i.e. will there be one tournament and then the group disbands, or is it going to be once a month/every two months?

I would love to participate, though my reputation is

Ok, we are on a good way to 32 participants and there are already more applications than open slots.
I will choose the last participants when I am back
home from work. Please don't be bad when you don't get an invite. I want to keep the tourney a bit smaller cause it is the first one, so I am very picky!
Feel free to apply here in this thread when youve read and understood the rules and you fulfill the requirements.
If you have questions feel free to ask! :)

Hello everyone,
I want to introduce "Steamgifts Duel Tournament Reloaded"!
I've created this group after some others idea of a duel tournament group which sadly never finished. This time this will not happen!
Grouplink
The matches run as 1on1 duels via private giveaways. This is the first SG duel tournament for a long time, so we will start with 32 members to check if it runs well with the new rules. This can increased up to 64 members if the first tournament goes to plan.
The matches will be randomly drawn and there will be Round 1, Round 2 and so on until we get to the finals. The loser of the finals then has to create a giveaway for all the other losers! The winner gets everything and does not have to do a single giveaway!
Example: You're in the first match and you lose, you need to do a giveaway for the second match, and the loser of that giveaway creates a giveaway for the third match, and so on. The first giveaway of Match 1 will be created by me.
Rules:
1: How to choose the game:
When you lose your match you have to create the giveaway for the next match. It has to be a game both people participating in the next match do not own! So, just saying that you only have this or that game in your inventory does not mean you can use it. Bundle games are not accepted, even if both members don't own it and even if you have it as giftable copy.
2: Who is doing the first giveaway?
Since there is no loser before the first match I will create the giveaway!
3: How do I get in contact with the people I have to create a giveaway for? / Chat activity / Time schedule!
I want every participant to be in the group chat when he/she is online. It is easier to get in contact with the people using the chat. Try to make your duels as fast as you can. With 16 matches in Round 1 this can take some time!
4: What does this system look like?
It is a flat chain. You can find an example here: Link
5: What if one of the losers disappears and doesn't create the giveaway for the next round?
He will get blacklisted for the group and onto my blacklist. I will take care that he/she gets onto the blacklist of some other users, too and that he/she gets a bad reputation in other groups.
6: Ok, I've read and understood the rules. How can I join?
Application is closed!
7: When does it start?
When we have the 32 members I will prepare everything for the tournament.
If you have questions: Feel free to ask! :)
Before I forget:
8 Comment on giveaways you enter! :)
EDIT:
You fine the participants of the first tournament here: Link
The tourney will start tonight at 20:00 CEST with the first match of the first Round.
