Keep drinking it. If you really wanted to quit, you'd manage it on willpower alone.

Agreed. I used to love Dr. Pepper, it was literally I would drink. A couple of years ago though I just decided to stop, never bought it again and instead now all I drink are flavoured waters, and I couldn't ever see myself changing back now.

This week, details of how Coca-Cola obtains the coca and how it is processed emerged from interviews with Government officials and scientists involved in drug research programs. They identified the Illinois-based Stepan Company as the importer and processor of the coca used in Coke. After Stepan officials acknowledged their ties to Coca-Cola, the soft drink giant confirmed those details of its operations. Coca-Cola's Comment
In a telephone interview from Coca-Cola's Atlanta headquarters, Randy Donaldson, a company spokesman, said, ''Ingredients from the coca leaf are used, but there is no cocaine in it and it is all tightly overseen by regulatory authorities.''

You know what's worse than cola for your teeth? Crisps.
Sugar on your teeth disipates within minutes. Potato Starch lingers on your teeth for hours, providing a lot more food for the acid-excreting bacteria that do the actual damage to your teeth.

There's no "I consider" this here. It's officially classified as a hard drug. A depressant. Also, if you don't see why it is and don't consider it a drug, you really need to think a little more deeply about the effect it has on people, how addicted they can become to it - including physically - and how much damage it causes on a day-to-day basis. Something like 90% of domestic violence cases include alcohol as a factor. Think of how many car crashes it causes.
It's a drug alright; one of the most widely abused and damaging / dangerous drugs there are.

I guess you're right. But, if I see someone drinking a beer, I wouldn't see it as a problem. However, if I see someone rolling a joint on the street, or stabbing himself with a needle, that would be a big problem in my eyes. It's probably because alcohol is legalized, but drugs aren't, and shouldn't be.

fun fact: coca cola without coloring is green... (if you don't get the hint... you are stupid for drinking something that needs artificial enhancing to make the artificial product look nicer, and it still looks terrible anyway)

To OP: I used to drink Coca-Cola or other similar beverages like Pepsi for a really long time 2 or 3 years ago. I never even liked it all that much, I was always thirsty afterwards, so it doesn't help against thirst. Then I decided to stop drinking it, and I stopped. I'm drinking pretty much just water nowadays.

No benefits to your body. So I don't see why anyone would drink it. Never liked the taste either, some fresh juice on the other hand.. mmmm. Also if you drink loads of fizzy drinks but eat no calcium rich foods to the side, you can say good bye to your bones. Drinking stuff like this shouldn't be a daily habit, more of a weekend yum-day.
Or if you're a fat f*** who can't stay away from sweets, just make sure you drink/eat something rich with calcium from time to time.

I think he is serious. He enjoys his Coke and doesn't want to share.

Coca Cola ---> Pepsi
Though I'm addicted.
So I'd drink any Cola of at least mediocre quality.

Since I've been drinking coca cola for about 4 years then switched to Pepsi for another 2 years and still drinking it I would want to know your opinions about this coke, pepsi, fanta and other fizzy drinks, as myself I'm trying to stop drinking this crap but it's so full of freaking addictiviness (not even a word) that I drink it nearly every day, post your opinions and statistics about coca cola maybe some of them will scare me that much that I wouldn't even think about it?
tl;dr: Discussion about coca cola and other fizzy drinks
