Really neat to comment youre not going to fine with me but atleast dont waste time.

Pretty sure I'm allowed to waste my time however I desire. Also, phishing links that end in .png do exist all over the internet and have been present on steam for a while, so don't blame me for not clicking a link that looks like that when you could've used a common image sharing site.

Its not phishing and since you're just an attention slut im blocking you i dont like people that comment hate so they have response ofcourse you know all about that.

so if you are against him being a "Attention slut" why do you even answear him about blocking him..?
Also he is right thought, we are full of people sharing pishing links, and he is just saying that that is what this looks like dont take everything as hate
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh no! You're going to blacklist him from entering giveaways that you don't make? THE HORROR!
Comment has been collapsed.
I could be wrong, but it seems to me that your comment is more "hateful" than Bludshade's.

This is simply just an observation of what is presented in plain text.
Throughout this discussion there have been self-contradicting comments and reply's made.
Albeit maybe some posts could have hinted at a bit less sarcasm, hate seemed to be the go-to response by the OP.
you're just an attention slut im blocking you i dont like people that comment hate
I have tried in the past to blacklist myself. I have yet to find a way, maybe the OP knows secrets

I find that "tone" is a difficult thing to gauge in a textual format. Not that this fact has ever prevented people from trying.... P

It is very hard, that is why I simply observe and process it by reading it back a few times to myself. If I happen to arrive at a conclusion, that no matter what tone I use in my voice, that it all sounds like meh, most likely it is meh. But that is still simply an opinion. No one will ever know for certain the intentions made from text, aside from the original poster, and how they initially intended it to be processed as.

I see this member is also from Michigan. I will have to apologize for my fellow state resident, as we here are in most rough times. Especially the bigger cities, as which we are both from. They are also some of the worst places to live in this awesome USA of ours. The frustrations of these circumstances might have a direct relation to how we may interact online. I offer my most sincere apologies for this member offending you by using your sweetheart in a foul and deviant manner. You are free to do as you wish, blacklist away, but just know I am humble and offer only my friendship.

I accept your unnecessary apology for your fellow statemate AND I accept your friendship wholeheartedly...however, I reserve the right to still be upset with OP for desecrating my beloved Rapunzel in the way he has...whether or not he created said image himself, his use thereof indicates endorsement, which is currently unforgivable

Its funny how you tell him not to waste your time when you are wasting everyone else's time by making yet another one of these useless threads. ITS CALLED MATH. I have finally come to the conclusion that A LOT of people, including yourself, do not know math or how it works.
Comment has been collapsed.
First they try math, then comes science, some use theory, maybe a hint of hypothesis with a dash of logic. Most arrive at the conclusion that it is all up to a random event occurring in your favor or not. At which point more discussion as to why must be had to delve deeper into a possible solution.
And some just cut out the odds and middle man and go purchase the game with money.
That seems to be the best odds of getting what you want without trying hard.
Comment has been collapsed.
Math is subject, there are many logical ways to arrive at any given solution for any know problem, many top mathematicians do not agree on how to solve certain problems, yet can still obtain the same answer. I am sorry to disappoint you.

It's a safe link. its a png. he entered 700~ giveaways and won 0.
OT: Well, the number of giveaways you enter does not count probability of what percentage you should win. It all depends on how many other people enter the giveaways you enter. And hey, the more you giveaway, the higher your level will be and the less number of people will join giveaways level 2+ :) then you will have better chances.
Comment has been collapsed.
Link is safe. Just a screencap.
edit : OP, use a host people know. Hackers use a fishy image host to post .scr files that appear to be viruses. This explains why they don't want to click that link, it's not a host people know and therefore they don't want to risk clicking it.

Assuming you entered 713 giveaways with 1000 entries each you have a 49% chance of not winning any, this is normal. Even if there was only 2 entries this is still possible, though improbable. Even if you half the entries down to 500, the chance of not winning any is still 24% which is fairly high.
Comment has been collapsed.
I think your math is off. P
1/1000 == 0.01 % chance to win.
Comment has been collapsed.
the chance of not winning is always 99,9 %, when you join giveaways with 1000 entries..no matter if you join 713 giveaways or a million... joining multiple giveaways doesnt increase the chances to win.
Comment has been collapsed.
Joining multiple giveaways doesn't increase the chances to win for any individual giveaway (that is, your entry in one giveaway doesn't affect your odds of winning another giveaway). However, the more giveaways you enter, the more likely you'll win.
Would you rather have one scratch off lotto ticket, or 100 lotto tickets?
Comment has been collapsed.
I would rather instead of spending money on those Lotto tickets to purchase the games with a 100% chance of obtaining them,
Comment has been collapsed.
You are correct in that the probability of losing any single giveaway is 99.9%, or winning is 0.1% (not 0.01%), and it does not affect the probability of the next giveaway. That being said, the odds of losing 713 in a row would be as stated above. Are you saying he has equal probability to win all 713 giveaways as lose all 713 giveaways?
Joining more giveaways does increase his chances to win, so to speak. While it does not increase his chances of winning any particular giveaway, the act of joining a giveaway does give another opportunity to win, thus increasing his chance of winning. How did you manage to win 114 games, if you can only winning only gave 1 game?
Comment has been collapsed.
ok i missunderstood you....yes if you join them all together you have the chances drastically raised, but i for myself
feeling a bit unhappy, to think that when you, like in your example, join 1000 giveaways with 1000 entries each, you would have a 100% chance that you will win one...that would make sense mathematically, but still there is no warranty, that you will win one....so to speak..still only a 0,1% chance per giveaway.
Comment has been collapsed.
You would have a 63% chance to win at least one giveaway in your example, 1000 giveaways with 1000 entries each. The only time you are guaranteed to win is if you are the only entry. Even after entering 10000 with 1000 entries each you still have a 1 in 221 chance of losing them all. Considering the thousands of people here, the odds are that someone will encounter this.
Comment has been collapsed.
Lypiphera is correct. If you enter 713 giveaways with 1000 entries each, the chance of not winning any of them is 49%. The chance of winning at least one of the giveaways is 51%.
Comment has been collapsed.
as i said..joining 1k giveaways with 1k entries each..still not a 100% chance to you will win one... cause you dont have a ticket for one lottery, but for 1000 lotteries...
Comment has been collapsed.
Noticed that a lot of giveaways have over 1000 entries? Do the maths.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'm assuming you are entering public giveaways. They routinely have hundreds or even thousands of entries. You've entered 700 of these. You're not even close to being overdue for a win.
Now entering giveaways with fewer entries can help, of course. But even then, there's no guarantee.

You sound more like a 12y/o looking at that anime profile of yours you probably just stumbled upon here and thought you know i should make people feel bad and make them think im a cool adult now you even won a game that you gave away again thats quite retarded dont even bother making more comments cause they're just sound dumb (the part where you say a minute ago makes you're comment probably the most retarded) thanks for making my waste time.

I don't even need to read this to know your fate. You're making your way on to a lot of people's blacklists. Admit it or not, but you made a mistake by using unreputable image hosts, a common strategy for phishers. Please stop acting like a git to people that are pointing out your mistakes, as your chances of winning games you actually want are being lowered with every comment you make.

750 giveaways is a start. Most people win their first giveaway by their 3000th entry, so you have a ways to go.
Comment has been collapsed.
I won my first after 750. I was really questioning how probability worked at that point. I won my second giveway less than 10 entries later.
