I entered about 1000 giveaways before I won my first giveaway, and I consider myself lucky.
If you look at it from a mathematical point of view, the chances of winning anything are very very low.
It's 100% about luck. Blame this universe and it's laws for not winning.

Probably slightly. Level 1 (old $0.01) giveaways have a little fewer entries than public ones.

It can take a while to win a something from any giveaway site. Be patient. Giveaway some games to improve your level, be nice to others, and be active on the forums.
Being mean, posting weird links, and setting up fake giveaways will cause people to blacklist you reducing the number of giveaways you can enter.

As others have posted, it's statistics. It takes time. Yes, I have 25 wins, but that;s over 5400 (over 10K if you count the reset) entries. Hell, I have 11 pages alone of Magicka losses without a win on that one.
You've only been here for about a month. It takes some people that long to win one.
Piece of advice that works with me. NEVER go in thinking you actually have a chance in hell of winning. No expectations, no disappointment.

Personnaly i always join giveaway with the feeling "i WILL win it !" and that way i can resist the temptation of spending money for it and keep it for something else :D (even though you can guess i don't always win ;))
