This, basically. It's 50% off a new $10 game on launch day, or whatever you want to pay if you don't need a Steam key, by an independent developer self-publishing through Humble Store. And they give you all their previous games as an incentive for those who missed the bundles. Not a HIB at all. They can't really make the keys cheaper or they'll never sell anything once the promotion ends because they'd be competing against stockpiler traders.
If you want Botanicula on Steam then buy now and save $5, otherwise just smile and move on. No good reason to complain (unless you happened to pre-order).

If you're playing through Windowsill that fast you're doing it wrong! :p
It's one of my daughter's favorite games on her iPad - you have to think of it more as a toy with a light puzzle element, if you enjoy that sort of thing it's a great game.

I don't think I'll be getting this bundle, simply because I already own Machinarium and the others aren't really my style. However, the art direction is fantasic and whimsical (read: trippy), and I wish the developers the best of luck with this bundle.
In reality, guys, you've got to respect that even though the developers make the games for us to play, the $5 limit for a newly-released title is only to make sure they can pay their bills :) I think that's fairly respectable, especially since you're still getting a fair deal!

machinarium was in a previous humble indie bundle, so plenty of people own it through that even though it's not their style.

correct -- it's proper name is The Humble Botanicula Debut. of course if the registry said that then we would have known botanicula was going to be in it.

that's like saying only getting the beat the average game / movie by beating the average (which is over $8) isn't really pay what you want. you still can pay what you want, but if you don't want to pay enough for the bonuses (steam key / beat the average) then you don't get them.

I'm starting to wonder if we can count on that, usually these "special" bundles like introversion and now botaniculla were registered on steam under their correct names, but now they appear as 5, 6 and seven, we may never see the true HiB 5...

They started doing that to avoid spoilers; if they named the bundle accurately we'd know what was in it in advance.

Botanicula isn't on Steam yet, but fluex said you'll get it when it is added to Steam

I find it funny that they want you pay more then the average for Windosil, a game that is about 3 hours long (if that) and isn't it $1 on steam? Wow. Crappy bundle.

windosill is actually 10 min on youtube walkthough... I would say max 1 hour on first try

Ehh, I think I'll pass on this one. None of the games really interest me this time.

Not a big fan of point-and-click games so pass on this bundle. Did they have to recycle two games from previous bundles though? O_o At least in the Voxatron Debut Bundle, there was Binding of Isaac and Blocks That Matter which were new games to bundles.

GOG's the best. It's not cool that they got blindsided like this.

That's horrible. Thanks for alerting me to this. I had respect for the developers, but it simply isn't acceptable to backtstab GOG and Gamersgate (The only two with pre-order available). Isn't that interesting - no Steam pre-order? I wonder why.
Moreove, GOG (AFAIK) only had an incomplete soundtrack to give to those who pre-ordered. That, in my opinion, is turning their back on the people who, in reality, technically support them the most! Definitely lost a lot of respect for the developers, unless somehow there was a misunderstanding. I kind of doubt that, though :(

Yep! Thanks for updating me on this :) Just shows how great GOG are, really. I love their customer support, and the fact that they technically helped clean up a 'mess' that wasn't really their fault is great! Respect to the Amanita team as well for giving the GOG a gift in apology.
