So I've played PA about six months ago and it was pretty unfinished and buggy. Now that it's a Midweek Madness deal, I'm wondering if they added more stuff and if it is worth buying yet?

Six months ago and now are totally different. I would go for it. If I had the money, of course.

I'm always torn when it comes to buying games still in development.

On one hand, I like the idea of being able to actively support a developer live out their dream and make something that they really care about (while still being able to pay the rent and eat on a regular basis).

On the other hand, I feel like it could easily cause a developer to lose interest in their project, if they already have my money.

In this case (and I'm about the buy it in the next 10-30 minutes), I'm quite sure it will be finished. The devs are known for some very good indie games. I only have Darwinia, sadly, but... yeah, they have a proven track record, as the saying goes.

I do appreciate that they show some of the bugs in the video, because they want people to buy Early Access with realistic expectations of what to expect right now. I have no doubts I'll buy this game at some point. I'm just not sure whether it'll end up being prior to competition. Although, it'll be interesting to see what happens to the price once its finished, since its already been on sale.

I played it for a bit and I enjoyed it. They do updates every month and it usually always has new features. $10 is cheap compared to its original price.

If you like this kind of games you should really go for it. Btw you can get it on steamtrades for a quite ridiculous price.

True. There's a number of people selling it for 3 TF2 keys.

I will quote something I wrote on my activity feed today.

"Prison Architect is a lot of fun in its current state, and benefits from monthly updates from a commited dev team. Even if you are put off by Early Access games, this is a great time to get in with the 66% sale. Out of every game on Early Access this is the one I trust the most to be continually updated and eventually completed."

This game is awesome, and every update that rolls out just makes it better and better, with alot of content every time.
Early acces might be a bit sketchy, but I do believe in Introversion, and that they will be able to complete this the way it is supposed to, and so far it is looking good.

I toatally recommend this game if you are into this genre of games.

Thanks for the answers so far guys! I guess I will buy it then, haha. I really like the concept of the game, I just wasn't sure if there was enough content to keep me playing.

I play the Beta (that's a year ago) for 4 days continuously, until I get distracted by some other things. And I'm sure I'll play it a lot when I eventually buy it.

The important question is: can you make Pruno in the game?
