I have joined two of them. Too bad you need to own two chapters of The Journey down to enter, I only have the second one.

Why do people care about the number of wishlisted games?
I got caught up years ago in steams new function of showing a qeue of games to check out, and I started regularly adding games i liked to my wishlist.
I dont add many games anymore, and have never gone back and removed a bunch that i'm no longer interested in.
But again, why does it mater?

I can just speak for me:

The problem is that there are people who put a lot games on their wishlist to be able to join all those wishlist required giveaways around here.(Some even use scripts to just add everything to their list, I have seen people wih 3k wishlist entries)

As the main intention of these giveaways here were to give people the chance to get the missing game in a game series, I decided to just add those with a small wishlist, as it is more likely that they really wish to have and play the game and not just a +1

I used to do the same as you with adding everything to the wishlist which looked interesting but realized that it is kinda unfair for those in small groups who look for games to give away at the wishlists of people who then don't join the giveaways even if they have the game on their wishlist. By know I add those games to my "follow" list, as I can still see those flag in the bundle discussions and also as a special list of ESGST.

Well TIL there are wishlist ONLY giveaways. I thought that section just filtered the giveaways for games on my wishlist, i.e. games I was mainly interested in.
I guess i'll be using the follow option on steam more often.

I've seen this flag come up several times now, so figured i'd ask.
Wasnt too hard to go through my list and delete a bunch of random indies, and early access stuff that i should have marked as follow and not wishlist.
I'm under 200 now.
