Roughly how far are you in the adventure?
I just saw one of my wishlist games is part of this so I guess it's time to tackle this bad boy at 10pm!

Happy cakeday godprobe! Just got aware of this thread because it popped up in my feed... seems to be huge so far. Made it to the "MEETING ROOM, FLOOR 2" so far and collected some jerseys, figures and other stuff. Gonna get myself some bigger pockets to store all of the items to be able to continue. :)

Thanks! (And what a perfect image for that! :D)
As it's late in the game before it ends, I'd also suggest using the "Last-minute solver time-saving pro-tip" in the bullet-point at the top of the main post now. Still plenty of stuff to collect and make note of, but the ?=XX parts can mostly be ignored at this stage. Good luck on your adventure! :)

Just a few days left to go on the adventure! :)

Three days left to go on the Cake Factory tour!
500 people have visited the Cake Factory, but only 19 have made it back out!
However, those who have gotten through the initial thief and supply puzzles have also usually made it to the ending(s) within a day!
There's still time!
Additional hints are unlikely to be added, but you're still welcome to request help from me.
I'll be out most of the day today though, so I won't be able to reply for some hours.

Look > With time running low, you visit the Cake Factory after hours. You've heard rumors of the sweet delicacies that can be discovered inside, and that's piqued your interest. Could the rumors be true? No, impossible. No one even has pink cakes anymore. It's all chocolate and vanilla these days. Still, you can't shake the feeling that there's something more to the stories you've heard, and you reason with yourself... "It's a Cake Factory... what harm could possibly befall me if I just... visit? Just take a look inside? Go on the tour? Maybe even meet the employees, if they're still working at this hour?" You've heeded all the advice about "time-saving pro-tips", "ItsTooHard quizzes", and mysterious "tables in Human Resources" and feel you're ready, and that you can do this.
Use > The Cake Factory lobby entrance door > With your Tour Party Group Reservation Code in hand, you venture inside...

I have to join Taalen in my congratulations to you for putting this together. Clearly such a labor of love deserves to be experienced by more people but I just can't muster the energy for it right now I'm also currently also on meds and boy are they messing me up. I like your descriptive prose though (the little I saw of it) and I salute you for doing this, it's quite the feat!

Time's running out, but I managed to complete the whole thing! Bump! :D

To be perfectly honest, if you haven't started it already, it's unlikely now that you'll make it through to the end of this adventure before the main giveaways end; you'd have to shatter the current finish time record of about one day and three hours. However, here's a list of the giveaways you're still privy to if you just want to conduct an investigation into the Cake Factory's thief for the next twenty-four hours...
Catching the thief, and following up with the requests of the IT department will of course grant you access to the other giveaways, but you're definitely running out of time now.
The bonus giveaways will end sometime after the official Cake Factory closing time.
If you're just interested in playing the adventure, and don't mind missing the giveaways, don't worry -- as long as SteamGifts and SGTools both stay up, The Cake Factory will too.
Also, I feel a quick shout-out to Fet for contributing Dandara to The Long Alleyway (a part of The Cake Factory) is long overdue!
Thank you, Fet!

The Cake Factory, an interactive text adventure... [SGTools Lvl 2+]
A walkthrough for The Cake Factory has now been posted.
Although this topic is now closed, The Cake Factory adventure will remain available for the foreseeable future should you wish to play it.
The Cake Factory closed on Saturday, September 15th at 5:21 PM Pacific time!
If you're stuck on the thief puzzle, make sure to use the assistance of the ItsTooHard quiz (also linked from the comments in Orders & Fulfillment) as well as the table in Human Resources! If you've found the thief, but are stuck on the Supply Inventory puzzle, use the ItsTooHard puzzle again -- it identifies every item type of the items it asks about.
You can read more details about the event or the FAQ for the event (now including a list of games found inside the factory) in the first-post replies below.
The Cake Factory
An interactive text adventure...
Look > This appears to be some sort of puzzley giveaway event.
You vaguely recall that there are Guidelines about Entering these sorts of things and that leaking puzzle giveaways is a bannable offense.
You wisely decide never to do that.
