+1 that wood cutting man gets me teary eyed everytime...

I got really into both Bioshock games and the endings of both saddened me! (Great games!) Also Gears of War emotionally struck me because of Anthony, Benjamin, and Mr. Santiago's deaths. D:

Earthbound. Gave me the sense of wonder that comes with playing an amazing game for the first time that I thought I could never obtain again! Finishing Braid was pretty emotional as well.

In case you didn't know, it is now officially coming to Steam as of yesterday.

Agreed. This game really, really hit me on so many emotional levels. I am a changed person after...

Hm, looking through my Steam library I don't see many.
Dungeons of Dredmor I get a slight feeling of depression when I lose after a good run.
Avernum: Escape From the Pit - this game gives me a feeling of nostalgia, for some reason it reminds me of EQOA (a PS2 mmo ripoff of EQ). The weird thing is, I don't know why. The game it reminds me of wasn't turn based and the graphics were very different. I guess it's just a lot of the small details and some specific mobs/npcs/lore tidbits that remind me of it shrugs
As for feeling sad/happy.. I think I'm too much of an avid reader to really feel emotional in games, like I feel drawn in if it's a good story, but I don't get teared up or excited like I do when I read a good book (so they pretty much raised my standards, is what I'm trying to say).

I'm curious, have you played Lost Odyssey? I saw this topic and immediately thought of that game. It wasn't an emotional experience for me particularly due the game's story or events, but the short stories that are peppered throughout. Some of them brought me to tears, so good! You might like it, lots and lots of reading. :p

Kingdom Hearts 1, 2, 365/2 Days, FF7, FF9, FFX, FFXII; those gave tears of sadness, and tears of madness? Everything else.
Sure, these games are probably on everyone's list who plays RPGs; but daaaamn: squeenix can build up to sad moments pretty nicely.

To me it was only like that for the first hour is so; although all of the talking does get a bit annoying, but I loved the combat (very much like KH1 imo, maxed out the DS) and the story about Roxas and Organisation XII was good to have for understanding KH2 a bit better.

Seriously?...
A spoiler warning would be fantastic, I am just lucky I already got to that part.

SPOILER
Yep, and the part before the last few levels when you're walking around the wreckage of Earth talking to all your crew members for the last time... fuck...
The conversation between Shepherd and Garrus was one of the best I've ever seen in a game, movie, whatever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBHQoQSYhgs

PROBABLE SPOILERS (I don't know what I'm going to type yet, but y'know, just in case)
I just about peed myself with excitement when Garrus asked me out on a date. And then just about cried during our last conversation, before the final mission. I think I did actually have a couple of tears at the ending (for more than one reason).

This game and it's music are just pure emotions.
WTF is... - Bastion?

Yes, Bastion. It was funny: "You know how many times the kid almost fell off that barge? <number of times you -did- slip off the barge> times." And the last section of the last level got me misty-eyed, once I realized what was going on.

And by that I mean you cried, you were happy, scared.. A game that actually made you show an emotion.
For me it would be Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. THIS GAME. THIS GODDAMN GAME.
To put it simply the ending made me teary-eyed. And when I think about it I get all depressed again.
Edit: If possible I'd like to keep this spoiler free, or at least give a BIG warning in your post
