dang u were extremely lucky

1) They are mostly pointless. Sometimes there are packs with games for 20k coins, in the past they were actually steam game, but now only itch.io, so not very useful. I said "mostly" because sometimes (rarely) regular lootpacks for 2000 coins drop a little amount of diamonds.
3) yes, there is not so many ways to get diamonds. Codes, daily exploration, tasks(I never managed to find working one in my country), and sometimes - special packs with tasks for diamonds(those usually work fine).

I've been doing this Lootboy thing for about a year, it's not very productive, but not very time consuming either. Here is what i learnt from this :

1) Coins are nearly useless, you can only buy loot coin packs with it, and as you could see, there's nearly only garbage. Somethimes you can get diamonds but very rare. You can buy itch.io games with it if you want (1 for 20000 coins every X months). Some extremely rare times, lootboy makes a special offer, like Death Stranding for 500000 loot coins, but there must have been 1 or 2 of them, so don't count on it. So just stack them in case you get lucky one day.
2) Grab the diamonds in the exploration quest page (most of the time just one, sometimes 2 or more, but rarely). If you want to do the extra quests for more diamonds, suit yourself, but it's full of stupid conditions, and very intrusive. I don't do them.
3) Watch this topic for codes, most of them last long enough and give you 5 diamonds, sometimes more, like 20 a few days ago (very very rare). Sometimes it's codes from their streaming, and they last one minute before being depleted. You can try to get codes directly from their twitch streams, but you will have to watch Fortnite, and see the most stupid people in all of human history in the chat. I did it once, never again.
4) Every 100 diamonds, you can get a pack, where you will most of the time have a Steam key. Many free or given away games, lot of garbage, sometimes nice games. If you're lucky you can get Steam cash (in the Supreme Steam pack).
5) There are special events sometimes, where you can get easily a lot of diamonds or a game in a few days. Most of the time, if you do only all that, you should expect to get a new game every 2 or 3 weeks (yeah, a lot less than Feudalife challenges !)
6) In about a year, i got 21 games, 6 i kept, the rest went to GAs.

Taking into account the value of games you get from the diamond packs 99% of the time I think the best approach is a minimalist one. Grab the 1-2 diamonds from exploration daily, use the codes shared here and then it won't take you more than a minute a day and you'll still collect 100 diamonds every 2-4 weeks.

Watching their stream or doing surveys and stuff like that only to get closer to the next pack with an average value close to zero is just not worth it. If you want to do surveys or play crappy mobile games for rewards then register on a site that gives you real cash for these tasks. But even then it's still a terrible investment of your time. On Lootboy it's even worse.
