Write History Group Train

Ladies and Gentleman,

today (8th May) our little group celebrates the end of The II World War in Europe.

We would like to share with you facts and games (some of them related to this war, but not necessarily).
If you are interested in history and would like to join us, then discuss with us, share some knowledge. We are open-minded, multinational and multicultural group, so don't be afraid, jump on that TRAIN and express your thoughts.

The War have had a serious consequences to what we are now, where we live and how we act. It influences us everyday, even when we do not notice that. And nowadays Europe seems to be again on crossroads, so:

We can hate each other and fear each other
We can build these walls between each other
Baby, blow by blow and brick by brick
Keep yourself locked in, yourself locked

Maybe we should love somebody
Maybe we could care a little more
Maybe we could love somebody
Instead of polishing the bombs of holy war

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zed17O3vNgI

We (Vaudi and I) would like to thank all of our members for their contributions. We really appreciate it. You've done a great job.

Niestety moje ratio nie pozwala mi na uczestniczenie w historycznej podróży, ale uważam sam pomysł za genialny. Chciałbym was jednak w przyszłości wspomóc. Zatem odezwę się Darla w niedalekiej przyszłości :)

Pozdrawiam

Thanks for the train. In the future, for SGT please use real CV ratio instead of (or in addition to) number of sent/won as the latter is very easy to abuse and punishes quality giveaways.

То есть русских тут нет? И фраза, что " в этой войне не было победителей и побежденных" никого не покоробила? А как же наш День Победы? Он, типа, не настоящий?...

I translated your post with google-translator and I am not sure if I got a good translation.

The sentence, there were no winners means: There was a winner, but only on the paper. The axis powers lost, the allies won.

But the price was enormous. All people lost. They lost beloved firends or family members, they lost their homes and the younger people lost their youth to this horrible and cruel war.

Yes, it is, but our Motherland doesn't started this war, and it wasn't our fault that this price had to be paid to stop it. And if you told my grandfather that his sacrifice was in vain, he would have smiled at this joke, at best.
Sorry for my english...

Your english is good, LittleAndy.
I can understand your position and the sacrifice of your grandfather was for sure not in vain. Someone had to stop us germans. But if you would ask your grandfather, I am sure that despite the victory he also lost a lot. And for that you can say there were nor "real winners", because even the winners lost way to much.

Edit: Maybe tragedy is the right word for the whole war.

Yes, our grandfathers, our country, all of us lost a lot. And I agree that on May 9 (namely, on May 9, people of Russia celebrate Victory Day) is a sad and sorrowful day in its own way. But for all Russian people this is both a bright holiday, a day when our grandfathers gave us the future and the right to live. Thank you for the discussion and the Victory Day!

I thank you too for the discussion. Have a nice celebration. :-)

And let us hope together, that we never have to fight in such a war again.

I think that right now, if such a war begins, then there will be no winners or losers ... unlike the WWII. Good luck!

Musical Bump

Some folks are born, made to wave the flag
Ooo, they're red, white and blue
And when the band plays "Hail to the Chief"
Ooo, they point the cannon at you, Lord

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no senator's son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no

Some folks are born, silver spoon in hand
Lord, don't they help themselves, y'all
But when the taxman comes to the door
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yeah

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no millionaire's son, no, no
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no

Yeah, yeah
Some folks inherit star spangled eyes
Ooh, they send you down to war, Lord
And when you ask 'em, "How much should we give?"
Ooh, they only answer "More! More! More!", y'all

It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no military son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, one
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, one

Enigma meaning the enigma machine (history) or enigma meaning a train full of puzzles cause I'd like that :p
There was one train I remember where each cart had a small puzzle to complete to continue.
