What are you waiting for and what do you want to see?

same races and same enemy

same races - old and new enemy
same races - old ENEMY and new friend
the same races, Shepard and company are alive + all of the above
all of the above + multiplayer as in mass effeet 3, Warframe and Destiny
spacewalk as Dead Space 3
all of the above, except for Shepard and the team, R.I.P. (requiescat in pace, riposa in pace, rest in peace)
thinking will fail

The Mass Effect trilogy is beautiful just the way it is. I would rather start a new space opera with new characters, new enemies, new allies, and updated gameplay mechanics. I've spent hours with Commander Shep and the allies I liked best already. I want to become invested in a new character and new allies.

I really enjoyed Andromeda ( I did not play it until 1 year post release). I got basically everything I could ask for in that game. I really liked the story and the feeling of exploration it provided. If there were an Andromeda sequel there are some plot holes I am interested in and I would love to explore more of the universe. The only thing the game felt like it promised and lacked in my experience is freedom to explore. I would have loved to land on more planets that weren't involved in the main story instead of just scanning them from afar for resources. Some of the planet's maps felt small that you could explore.

Social services should take ME away from Bioware before they do anymore damage. They are not the same studio as a decade ago, the majority of the talent from then has gone elsewhere. Give it to someone else, or leave it dead.

I'm a bit behind.. still have yet to play 3, and don't own Andromeda. I've heard mixed things about Andromeda though. Guess I have some catching up to do.

Nah Mass Effect V would be a dumpster fire, better to skip directly to Mass Effect VI: Andromeda II

I get why companies make multiplayer, but I think that was the first mistake. Bioware got loyal fans with single player story/character rich games. They had to patch out the multiplayer requirement in ME3, then Andromeda's multiplayer ended up being an afterthought to give them a reason to add a "season pass".

So ideally Mass Effect 4 or Andromeda 2 would preserve the exploration and squad elements but make co-op optional. Want to play with friends as your squad? Awesome, but you can also go planetside with your companions. I haven't played Anthem so I don't know, maybe that's how it works, but I got the distinct impression it's not. Also, wouldn't work with Shepard since you can't have two of them. Could work with Andromeda/Ryder since you could feasibly have character choice in which Pathfinder to play as, which would be my ideal Andromeda since that was the overwhelming opinion when ME3 finished.

I dunno, I'm also just old and don't have time to be a noob in another multiplayer world

I think they would have to start from the beginning again. Andromeda didn't seem to get the greatest reception, but I suppose if you made a second one you'd have to make an amazing game. I'm talking like, ME1/2 good. Those are both the best made games of the whole series(ME3 is a really good game but it's on a different level than ME1/2, in my opinion).

I personally would prefer to start off after ME3 with the destroy ending(where Shepard seemingly lives) but I dunno, that's familiarity bias at work I guess?
