The only strategy game i ever played in my life was a Star Trek one (think bridge commander), i want to try one, see if i got the patience for it now, definitely got enough choice, and Crusade Kings 2, does seem like a good one to try, shame they seem to really milk their DLC though.

On one hand, yes.
On the other hand, said DLC has allowed the game to continue in active development 6 years after its release. Non-purchasers still get the benefit of every single patch for free and only a multiplayer host (that’s right, there’s MP too) needs to own the DLC they choose. Overall, the base game is a huge leap forward from the game that was initially released, and the game with all of the DLC is basically Crusader Kings III. Not to mention, the average user playtime is typically hundreds (if not thousands) of hours.
Point being, I own a lot of the DLC (often 50% to 80% off) and don’t feel cheated in any way. It’s still a better value than most forms of entertainment. I do think the list could use some trimming and some older DLC simply combined with the base game.
But seriously, you don't need to buy any of the DLC. The base game right there is hundreds of hours of fresh, unique gameplay.
Edit: Oh, and MODS! There are some incredible mods out there. 700 hours of my playtime is with the A Game of Thrones mod.

Yeah read some reviews, people that have hundreds of hours in it, then it must be good for a reason.
Think if you are a die hard strategy player you want all the extra's in the DLC but to a newcomer it maybe looks a bit overwhelming.
Will definitely give this a go.

Also have over 100 hours in the game. My main issue is that the amount of DLCs makes it difficult to discern which are worthwhile and which aren't (and I couldn't possibly tell you without looking which ones I own and which ones I don't). It is somewhat overwhelming.
I would have preferred the tiny cosmetic DLCs to be updates and the "real" expansions to be full-priced DLCs. It would have avoided a lot of bad blood among players, and in my case it would have avoided confusing an old geezer with all these uncountable DLCs... :D
Still, a great game after all is said and done.

Congrats :) I've got over 800 games from Tremor, so far... :)
Now that Supersonic is gone my coins will be dropping, though... They were the only ones that paid reliably. I could get 900 coins every day. Nearly everything else on there has been a waste of time for the past 6+ months at least. Either never paying out, or taking a whole survey only to be "disqualified" at the last question... ¯\(ツ)/¯

Yeah and crowdflower used to have alot more tasks too, i had moments i got 2-3000 coins a day, and when you do surveys you have moments they just run out and you have to wait.
Sometimes it can help to send in a support ticket (especially if got proof/screenshots), sometimes you gotta be a bit firm to them, but it really depends on the business you do offers from, some just refuse any solution.
The disqualifying at the end i had a bunch of times (i also send in support tickets, that didn't do much) but for the last 2 months i not had 1 of those (knocks on wood). I am around 5 years on Tremorgames and am closing to reaching 1 million coins earned.
Sad thing is plenty of cheaters, but Tremorgames not doing anything about it (its earning them money and they aren't the ones getting scammed).

You're right ;) I clicked Neyo's link after typing and noticed I had a few mistakes in there.
First of all I was missing a sentence inbetween and then I somehow thought the difference between the sigils was the colour in the background and that House Rayne had a field of green because Treecat.
But I still remember more from this song than from The bear and the maiden fair.

There must be a whole lot of free games, alot achievement trash games, some might even say alot is just bundle trash but i don't care about AA games, indie games are just as good, i am sure atleast 75% of the 6000 games are decent enough.
Not saying i just get games for cards but from Tremorgames and the ones for free (even those i will try out eventually) sure helped in getting some better games too, the quantity part just came with it.
I see it as my hobby, as others collect stamps or sugar packets.

As when Tremorgames clears my order, i got 6000 games, making me a collection king.
Even in november i didn't think i would make it this year, but had a big spurt, not gonna grow as much anymore next year which gives me time to actually play all 6000 of them. For someone with no money, i got blessed this way.
