So i bought an Nvidia GTX 970 and I want to know what happens when I redeem the Nvidia gift. Would I be able to have it as a gift I could give away, or is it automatically added to my account? If it is automatically added to my account, then what is the best way to give it away or trade it or whatever?

IIRC you have to redeem it through Nvidia's website and they give you a steam key for it.

I'm looking at the instructions on their site, and to me it sounds like it will be automatically added to my account, but I don't want the game and it would be a waste to have it sitting in my account. :(

That sounds a bit weird if it's not a Steam Key. Dunno how else they'd add it.
This is a game I am really looking forward to, didn't know it came with certain cards until AFTER I bought my new parts and built my new PC xD

I held off on updating my GPU on my latest build purely because I wanted to see if the prices of the cards this offer includes drop at all before release.

It does look like they have changed to inputting the keys themselves. I know when I got my 750ti and the "bonus" packs it came with, they were added to my nVidia account as Steam Keys I had to put in myself.

I wonder what kind of a result this will have on key reseller sites, as I am pretty convinced that this is where a lot of the keys come from.- either stolen or resold by people who are running multiple GPU setups.

Have gotten nVidia codes in the past and they are added to your nVidia account not your steam account as they are codes you manually enter unless they changed it which is highly unlikely as I used one less than 3 months ago for another game

nm looked it up and http://www.geforce.com/witcher-3-batman-ak-bundle/code-instructions
you have to use your account

In that case, if he doesn't want it he can giveaway the coupon code to someone who does, and they redeem it.

Apparently with Batman and newer games they now make you register your steam account so it is bound to your steam account

It's added to your account when you redeem it on Nvidia's site as it asks you to log in with your Steam account.
