Hey, just out of curiousity, i see alot of kids crying about the prices of AAA Games, and see all of them play bundle games or price exploited games all day, so whats the issue... don't people otherwere are able to buy the 50€ games ?

right now there is are these Threads again, crying how much Aliens sucks, but the guy that started it haven't even played it, it already happened on how much other AAA Games sucks (far cry 3, devil may cry 2013, family guy :) )

On a closer look i saw these guys are from one of the really poor countrys, so this might be the issues ?

So just a little question, how long you have to work in order to buy a 50€ game ?

For me its 2 Hours (already deducted tax's) (GERMANY)

so i really dont care about high prices in Germany because it should be way easier for me to get a 50€ game than someone from Tier 3 because its 10 Hours of work for him ?

I have to wait for about 2-3 years until it goes down to 5 currencies. I can't justify spending 50$ on a game, when I can get other great, be them older, games for 5 or less.

How can you even mention Far Cry 3 in there? And DmC is a great game as well.. when you're putting those beside FG, there's something wrong with you.
"i see alot of kids crying about the prices of AAA Games" no shit dude you don't usually have day jobs when you're younger

Does that really matter? People spend their money on something that turns out to be less than what they expected have a right to complain. Whether it's 5$ or 50$.

I'm studying right now. So about 8 hours of low paying part-time job.

If I were to have a job, I guess 14 hours would be the most realistic

14 hours. Czech Republic, temporary job. With 158€ / month limit. I am not buying games for the full price anyways. It's not worth it.

About 3 hours. But there are no game in my library that I paid full price for. I prefer to wait for sales and spend my money elsewhere. With as little time I can spend on gaming, with work and kids, there are no game worth paying $50 for. (Then again, by paying less I tend to buy more games than I actually have the time to play. I just like to have choice in my library I guess.)

You dont make any sense. People refuse to buy games at full price because a) they are pretty bad/not enjoyable or b) they are not good enough to buy at release so they wait for a discount. Pre-ordering and buying games impulsively always leads to disappointment.

People who live in countries with bad economy can still earn enough money to buy a game once a month and I've never encountered anyone who complains about that because games are a luxury. When you are low on cash, not having enough money to buy games should be the least of your worries.

Different working time to purchase :

  • 1 Big Mac
  • 1kg of bread
  • 1kg rice
  • 1 iPhone 4S 16GB

The Study is rather interersting and contains findings such as:

  • Price comparison - Oslo, Zurich, Copenhagen and Geneva are the most expensive cities
  • Domestic purchasing power - An average day’s work buys an iPod nano in Zurich and New York
  • Wage comparison - Highest salaries in Switzerland, Denmark and the US

In Poland it takes (for a wage available for a student) about 20 hours to earn about 50 euros. Considering our prices of AAA games it's about 14 to 15 hours.

I can make $50 in under a day, but i won't spend that money on a game that will cost $25 in 2 months and $10 a couple months later.

I'd rather spend $10 for the game and $40 for other stuff. It's not like i'm out of games to play, i have hundreds i did not even install yet.
