Just in case people join to get games to giveaway.
You can do that in group buys, but not in bundle splits. From those you can't take games you own or want to trade or giveaway. The exception is when demand is low and it's been a while with no offers, then you can offer to buy them.
Basically, it's a not-for-profit group, where things are sold at cost. So they need to take care people don't take advantage of the sellers just to re-sell the games.

Obviously.
But rather than punishing people and giving more work for the moderators, they should be encouraged to read the rules in the first place.
It is one of the reasons why someone shouldn't advertise a group they don't manage or have permission from those who do.
They can be sending a group of people there with the wrong idea, giving more work for the moderators, no matter their intentions for sharing it.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thanks for the heads up :)

I'm not sure this is cool.
Technically it's a group recruitment, but I'm not sure you should be advertising for any group without permission from the moderators or admins.
Especially when you are not even telling people to read the rules before joining.
It's a not-for-profit group, where things are sold at cost. So they need to take care people don't take advantage of the sellers just to re-sell the games and profit from their goodwill.
You might just be encouraging people to go there and abuse it.

This isn't a gifting group, nor is this recruitment. It's just a heartfelt thread about my experience with buying bundles. It could just as easily be on some other website like http://new.steam.nyan.link/#/coupons/ .

Look at all these old happy-hour priced bundles. Look at them!

I'd like to express how awesome a group this is, and just say look at those IG bundles for $1, look at those Groupees preorder-priced bundles, quality Humble leftovers, and all the loose bundle-cruft being sold for a nickle apiece.
A bunch of nice guys make it their hobby to deal with IndieGala's weird bulk bundle pricing and we all get really cheap bundles in the Group Buys community. I've been a part of it for more than two years, only hosted a couple bundles myself because of their high demand. Sometimes bundles come up where we split the games in them, like those "pick 5" bundles, or those blind Humble Monthly bundles, etc. It's not a store, or a trading bazaar like steamtrades.com, there's a 5% margin at most (rules), and hosts actually take cash (PP/Amazon Wallet/etc. instead of crate-keys-only). I have one of the hosts automatically including me in every bundle he gets, just to save me the time picking bundles and reserving my Happy Hour slot. After putting in all the effort for a fair group buy, sometimes the host is stuck with dozens of old bundles nobody wants. Search Discussions for that bundled game or full bundle you missed, and you might get lucky.
