Minecraft vs. Terraria

Terraria because it doesn't have the God awful graphics of Minecraft. I don't understand how that game is so popular, it hurts my eyes just looking at it.

I like both but Minecraft is the game of this generation, can't find a single game who can compete with it. Anyway, I prefer Minecraft.

The result is pretty much as expected, they will keep switching back and forth like this. I wouldn't say the games are "apples and oranges" but I don't think it's a fair comparison. They play much differently and you can definitely enjoy the hell out of both of them.

they are different in some ways.

minecraft gets roleplaying to a certain limit, its mostly about building stuff, and some exploring.

terraria takes roleplaying to the extreme, with all the weapons, bosses, things to explore,armors and interesting items.

but of course minecraft its winning because its more popular

Terraria's sense of progression is unrivaled when comparing to Minecraft. Also, you don't have problems "losing" your house and other creations, since you can only walk left or right (not to mention creepers don't exist).

Played both. Played more of Minecraft. Enjoyed it more. Therefore my vote must go to Minecraft.

Probably safe to say Minecraft will win this one now. It was a hard fought battle, so if you like sandbox games, try both! Although you just missed Terraria on Steam sale...

Terraria by far. Better multiplayer, and vanilla doesn't need any mods to be good.

Minecraft is ONLY good MP with mods. Otherwise it's overhyped and bound to be abandoned. Only thing keeping MC in business is the community of fanboys that will love the game no matter what. (I should know, I was one once.)

Terraria is an excellent game with depth (lol) but I have to say that MC has things that Terraria will never live up to, such as the almost-infinite worlds and variety of items.

But Terraria has many things on Minecraft- character customization(without downloading anything), variety of monsters/bosses/environments.. and interactable NPCs. That's a selling point for me. Minecraft is too empty, the goals are too broad or too narrow.

Terraria > Minecraft.

RIP Terraria.

this is very easy. you can do anything in minecraft, anything your imagination wants and the best is that is constantly updating. this sandbox is so so big that they can surprise you for a long time with new things. Its like an infinite game.

somebody made an ALU (Arithmetic logic unit) on minecraft. this fact proves that this game is one of the best videogames ideas ever. It's true that minecraft is the worse optimized game (God is developed on Java) but you dont have to think in this game as a normal title because is something totally different. It's more than a game

The idea, the infinite posibilities of this game have become a milestone in the sandbox genre like Mario with platforms or The Sims with simulation.

I cant stand my own answer, i loved Minecraft and thus voted, however Terraria is in many ways a better game, i ended up voting strictly on the fps tps aspect because undeniably terraria is far more versatile
