Use Enhanced Steam addon and SteamRep website.
And you might want to edit your post and move it to the General category as you are neither reporting a bug nor making a suggestion. =)

Enhanced Steam or the SteamDB extension? I think both wouldn't work properly..

Isn't it Enhanced Steam that adds the links to SteamRep and whatnot? Why wouldn't SteamRep help him weed out scammers?

Steamrep is useful, right, but I'm talking about this other extension (pretty new still, I assume): https://steamdb.info/extension/

A lot of functionality seems to overlap with Enhanced Steam, so I guess it wouldn't be smart to use both simultaneously.
