often i have the thought that i should shut up and be as stoic as everybody else and/or keep myself to the forums, as i often see... but then i think "naw," and spread my gibberish anyway. not interested in any of these (not that i would expect any sort of recognition for said gibberish) but i bump in the hope others will let themselves go a bit more too :)

Not saying names, but two users wanted to help me getting co-op achievements in Polarity, too bad that it has only local co-op.
Looks like something small and insignificant, but it really made my day few months ago. And it shows that we don't have to do amazingly big things to make someone feel better \|ovo|/
I also have like 100 ppl on WL, it'd be way to long to list them and say why the're awesome :D

And people that offer to help someone with online Achievements are really super! Someone on Steam did that with some of the Achievements for The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing (I don't think he's a member of SG, however). It was very nice of him to do that!:)

There are unfortunately people that won't mark a win or will even do the opposite in an attempt to blackmail or scam. :(
An example of such is the occasional member of low win groups.
After dealing with something like that, anyone who is fast to tick that win is appreciated.

Try marking a game not received several months later because they did something else with it, and dealing with Support. They sometimes take a while.

There are a few, but the most recent is not even 24 hours old. A user from here dropped an invite, and 10 minutes later I received the most expensive item on my short little wishlist as a gift. I was like o.0 then 0.0 then =D then ;_; from gratitude.

It's pretty mindblowing when someone gives you a notable gift right out of the blue, especially an expensive game.
For all the generosity on SG, it's still about being a participant among a generous group. With those offsite gifts, given specifically to you without an event or similar circumstance involved, they're distinctly personal and touching.

I remember (or actually I dont) a late night chat with one of the Steamgifts members a few years back. We both were very drunk and chatted for about an hour. When I woke up that morning I had the chat window still open. It was the most incoherent and odd conversation I've ever seen, it was hilarious. I didnt remember anyhting at all. Fun times.
