This is the first time I actually cared to make a post in the discussions, been a SG user for nearly a year but either way, hey there c:

So I was wondering why did you guys joined SG; many seem to be leechers (no offense, nice people too c: ) or try to, but most just seem to be just around to give away stuff out of good will, so tell me why did you join?

Personally, I joined SG as soon as I met the requirements to as this is one of my ways to be able to get games here in my country, for steam I mean, the other would be trading cards, usually here too, as I don't own a credit card, getting it in my country is pretty difficult actually, so I don't really have a steam wallet, and even if I did, inflation in my country is out of control, making games really unaffordable, no steam retail games around either, so honestly, most of gamers around here reccur to piracy, I preferred finding a clever way to get my games and be part of a great community as any gamer should be able to, and well, looking for that way, I ended up here, I hardly get games often, nor the ones I'm particularly looking for, but with a lot of effort around and a little luck (and enough cards lol) I manage to get certain games every now and then c:

So what's your story then?

I joined a few days later after joining steam. I thought this site was a scam... until I won my first giveaway, then I gave away couple games to get minimum of 30.01 CV in order to join better giveaways. It all went down (or up?) hill from there.

Oh, the first win, when you go O_O THIS WORKS and start planning, and realize you need to give to get more, and you finally see the point of giving because the site woooorks :D + really great feeling to actually find a legit site. The community came through as a bonus :)

I can't remember what I answered the last time for this question, so this time I'll say it was for the community. I don't really visit other game-related forums, or other international communities (I only read twitter), so I was surprised to find such a nice place =)

I originally found this site only because I wanted to trade. Then I saw that it has giveaways too, so I was like: Why not participate and win some games too? So, I participated in some giveaways, and I hardly ever won. xD Most of my wins are recent. :P I didn't come here neither with the intention to win games, nor with the intention to give games. But I decided to it eventually. :P

I like to giveaway games, got suggested the site. At first I thought the site might be a scam, eventually I decided to give it a try. Found the site made doing giveaways way easier and became a addict casual gifter.

I joined Steamgifts cause I had a bunch of keys to games that I either had no interest in using or couldn't use since I already had them. Many of the games I had extra copies of, I absolutely loved and was really saddened that no one I know had any much interest in playing games cause I would have loved being offered them for free and I think others would feel the same way, so I looked around for some site where I could give them away and so, here I am here. Basically I was looking for a good home for my games and the site fit my interest,
I still stick around to hear of deals and win games (though I haven't won something I'd REALLY want, but maybe I'll get lucky) and this site gives me something to do when I take a bus or I'm on a break.

I'd won a worms game from that 2011 coal event thing, i didnt want it, my friends didnt want it, trading had just launched and was a crap(pier) product so we wouldnt have been able to pull it off anyway, heard about steamgifts, planned to just give away that one game, thought this website was the best lottery ever, stayed around.

I realized that it's bit of a waste to leave all my duplicate bundle keys unused.
I'm definitely too busy to start selling those, so this site works fine for tossing them at random people.
