I'm pretty sure the bots can search the discussions for giveaway links as well. If you really don't want them to enter, it would be best to post them somehow with an action required for us to enter. An example would be to remove a letter from each 5 character giveaway code and just write that letter next to each giveaway so we have to manually enter it.
Like this, just replace the ? with the character shown. There are lots of other things you could do as well.
