Well - it's been a while since I made some good puzzles, and This Thread gave me some motivation ;P so here you

go!

Like always - anyone caought cheating, spoiling answers, hints or GA link (anywhere, not only on SG forums) will be banned from this and all future GiveAways and immediatelly reported to support.

Oh and it's already in GA, but I guessed I'll drop it here as well ;p BLACKLIST

1st set of hints:

• Q1: the part of mentioned plant you eat is a root.
• Q3: it's easily googleable by definition given in question.
• Q5: the name of a color itself is different than name of the gemstone it's named after.

Hint for part 2: Notice that a numbers have different colors :>

LAST HINT:

As it's only 1 day till end of puzzle last hint for stage 2:

The numbers are colored in Red Green and Blue.

Solution:

509 ppl tried solving quiz stage.
151 ppl succeeded.
20 ppl solved star page (maybe more but they didn't enter nor comment)

Quiz part:

• Q1 - ginger
• Q2 - indigo
• Q3 - gray/grey proof it was googleable - if searched without "wikipedia" it would show on 2nd page :>
• Q4 - mustard
• Q5 - jade

After solving quiz you were given link to this image.

Now notice few things:

• The Star have 5 triangles colored in 5 different colors.
• The GA code on SG consists of 5 characters ALWAYS.
• All triangles were numbered from 1 to 5.
• These numbers were colored in 3 colors Red Green and Blue.

What you were supposed to do:

• DL image.
• Using any software you like (even freaking paint everybody have - I made a puzzle while I was at hospital on my laptop using only paint ;P) you should probe the color to get exact values of it's RGB attributes.
• Here are some screenshots on how to do it ;p SS_1, SS_2 SS_3. It was done in new Paint from Win7, but could be done with older versions as well ;p
• For R choose value of Red, for G of Green and for B of Blue.
• Depending on what software you used you qould get decimal or hex values:
  1: 116 / 74
  2: 73 / 49
  3: 67 / 43
  4: 108 / 6C
  5: 71 / 47
• Decoding theese values using ASCII Decimal Chart or Hex would give you the code for GiveAway (like always xlate is your friend ;p, every puzzler should have it bookmarked), which was tIClG.

And for last about this that you don't need to see colors for stage 2 and can even solve it on B&W monitor - the only thing importand here were attributes for RGB encoding - which you could get by probing using whatever monitor you like ;p
