I would call it Prepare to Lag Edition. Good luck trying to finish Blight Town.

The game has some small fps drop problems in a few areas of the game, however it is fully playable, use the "dsfix" and have fun :)

Unless you are only able to spend Steam wallet money, keys, or something like that, there is usually a 75% discount on Dark Souls running somewhere so don't worry about missing the sale. :)

I see you already heard about checking isthereanydeal. You can also install the "Enhanced Steam" browser addon which will do that for you (plus a number of other helpful things) automatically on every game's store page - available here.

Once you install the game, I suggest using two addons - dsfix to un-crap the PC port, and PVP Watchdog to keep cheaters from spoiling your fun. If you're going to try playing with mouse+keyboard, you can also use DSMfix to help with that - but Dark Souls is a lot more fun with a controller... :)
