Yeah, because you think if someone make a suggestion on SteamTrades, it will obviously stay on the first page and everybody will see it. Because no one bumps their threads, sure...

And you think you will do here any better?
Short answer: no
I can't be bothered to give you a long answer.
And just FYI if its the same "search function" like here...it's NO search function...it's a filter. And a filter has much less code than a search function and recoding it to "search" more would be more work.

"I can't be bothered to give you a long answer" Then why are you doing it? Irony much..?
Oh and sorry if you didn't understand with the word "search", apparently you're the only one. I know it's more work, that's why it's a suggestion and not a request...

I didn't do it. I didn't gave you a long answer to WHY you won't get any more attention here.
The rest was a different topic. And yes, I know what "search" means, obviously you don't, thats why you think I don't know. get it? Probably not. That's why this is my last reply to this. Why talking to someone who won't get it....pointless.

Yes in fact. The suggestion threads on strades averaged 1.67 posts, this thread already has 25 posts. If you do a simple search, you can see that 90%+ of strades related threads that don't relate to trading are posted on this site.
I believe that in the past, one of the mods (likely Jade) told someone on strades to post on sg for suggestions as well since he would probably not get any replies on the other site.

Usually discussions about strades goes on sg. That site is for trading, this site is for everything else.

Would be great if Steamtrades could incorporate a price list entry function into threads. Select game from list (Steamgifts stylee); enter your selling price; rinse and repeat.
That way, buyers could quickly search active threads for a particular game based on this, eliminating the need to cram the names of a few "marquee" games into a semi-searchable thread title.

See my reply to the second comment. Also they're run by the same people(, right?)...

Any thread here can also be accessed on strades and vice versa.

Steamtrades pff, we do not like to talk about those guys round 'ere

I assumed so even though I didn't know the limit. And... well, this reason is a bit of a joke. :P It's more about searching 'inside' the threads.

Well, it's not much of a joke.
Limited space in titles + search only working on titles = need to optimize title space! :)
This said, I also hate the lack of spaces and sometimes the need to guess how people would shorten a game name.

Hello, I've been using SteamTrades for a long time now (read: 4-5 months), not regularly but enough for me to know the basics...
And there's something that annoyed me: the search function only search through the titles and not the thread bodies. For me, it doesn't make any sense, and often I see a title like this "[H]GameX,GameY,GameZ[W]TF2keys". Now you might be wondering, what's wrong with this? Well, the commas are not followed by spaces,I don't like it,that behaviour should be banned, but there's something even more annoying in my opinion...
Sometimes when I want to search a specific game, there's no result so I become sad... ahem... that's not true! The thing is, when I browse random threads and I see this particular game, I wish that my suggestion existed...
What is your goddamn suggestion?!
There you go: The search function should search through the body of each thread to see if there's a game matching your search terms ( although I agree it'll be (a lot?) slower) so maybe add it as an option..?
Ok, I could somewhat bypass this restriction and do this but unfortunately, it'll search through every replies so it's not very convenient, is it?
So now, what do you think of this idea? (I hope it's not a dupe but I don't think so) Is it viable? Is it possible to do or itstoohard (sorry no puzzle :( )?
Thanks for your time!
