Nonsense, i gave them the benefit of the doubt, if they got some shitty protection in which alot of accounts were hacked (i wasn't the only one, nor was it a case of bad protection from my side, or opening some fake email..) there was an article about it but can't find it anymore.
Paypal in the end did resolve things fairly, but it was a week of stress.
Does not imply once why i shouldn't give anything else a chance to pay with, not that i need to now, but sometimes unfortunately paypal is the only way to pay something abroad.

True but all good CC won't make you pay for fraud charges.

While I agree it is best to not store a card on any site but not for the fact they are keeping said data on it as the card info can easily be had other ways.I always suggest it merely to avoid someone hacking your account and just ordering random stuff to your card.At least this way they need more then just access to say your Amazon account to purchase items.
This is why all sites that allow purchases need to require 2 step verification as an option

The offer has been successfully saved to your wallet. Make sure to pay with PayPal and the offer will be automatically applied.
Well, thanks for heads up. Definitely going to buy something.

So sad... its the 21 century and over the internet why bother with frontiers? Imagine a world without the need for vpns... good steam prices for every region... no region locks!
Its past 2000 and we don't have flying cars fgs- and we have of good from the future is what? Streaming music and videos? Flashdrives and... damn this list is short. The only other good thing are smartphones but they're cellphones(80's?) and computers on the pocket so they doesn't count.

Because economy is not same in all countries, and weaker countries need frontiers to defend against stronger countries and in order to become stronger: no frontiers, and weaker countries will become weaker and weaker (and strong countries stronger and stronger). Europe during the last 15 years is the best example of this dynamic...

Maybe the marketing team has a wheel with different country names on it. :3

With the newly added German offer it worked out for me in The Netherlands! I ordered 20€ credit, buy PayPal only took €15 of my account.

PayPal Japan has a similar offer:

I am really wondering right now if both coupons would work in Europe while paying in Euro's.

I can confirm this works for the UK. Just added £20 to steam wallet - only charged £15. And I thought I was going to skip this sale!

And, just in case anyone is stupid enough to try it twice (!!!), I can also confirm the discount is only applied once - even though the offer is still 'saved' in your PayPal wallet.

Okay, thanks for the info. I saved the voucher to my Paypal account. It says it's limited to 3,200 uses though, so I'm wondering if they're kind enough to tell in advance when that limited has been reached, or only after I paid something. Also, €20 spending minimum probably means spending a minimum of €20 in With Paypal, right? For example when I have €10 wallet, buy something for €20 € and only pay €10 with Paypal it wouldn't work?

I just transferred 20€ from my PP account to my steam account. When you authorize the payment on the PP website, there is a line which says the coupon is being applied ("You saved 5 €", something like that). So if it isn't there, beware.
As for your 2nd question, yes, you have to pay at least 20€ from PP in order to use the coupon

Okay, thanks. I'll watch for that line, that says that the coupon is being applied. Meanwhile I'll just hope that saving the coupon already put me in queue for those 3,200 spots or that it still works tomorrow when the sale starts, because I won't just add cash to my Steam account when I don't even know if I'll find something to buy. I have more than 200 games on my account, which is not much by some folks standards, but it's basically all the games I really care about, so I know it'll be very hard to find something to buy for €20. We'll see tomorrow.

Well I managed to save the UK offer to my pp. Not sure if it will work but it is worth a shot.

But the old deal of 2016 was better ^^

Thanks, it worked for me when I added 25€ to my wallet :)

https://store.steampowered.com/steamaccount/addfunds
Open console (ctrl+shift+k @firefox) and insert "javascript:submitAddFunds( 2000 );"
which adds 20€/$, so you don't have to chose the 25 option, and pay 15 instead of 20 with paypal.

Hey, I'm from Spain too! Which coupon did you use, the UK or Germany one??
Comment has been collapsed.
doesn't work in Germany or out of stock - says something to the effect of "You already saved the maximum number of offers from this merchant" although I clicked on it for the first time and never used any coupons on paypal (didn't even know they existed)

nope, tried a whole bunch of times before I wrote that, and again just now, still
Sie haben bereits die maximale Anzahl an Gutscheinen von diesem Händler gespeichert.
edit: reading more replies, they apparently restocked a bunch of times, maybe you managed to hit it it right after they did (it was limited to 3200 when I tried, now it's 13000?)

Maybe this Info is worth a look:
"Die Aktion beginnt am 21.06.2017 und endet, sobald das Angebot zehntausend (10.000) Mal beim teilnehmenden Händler eingelöst worden ist, spätestens aber unabhängig von der Anzahl der Einlösungen am 05.07.2017 um 23:59 Uhr."
so at least the German Coupon is limited on 10.000 (yesterday the coupon was up and limited to 3200 so maybe it's not a real limit)
If my spanish is right (i can't understand anything ^^) it's limited in spain to 8.000
"L'Offre est limitée aux 8 000 premières personnes éligibles ayant satisfait les Conditions de l’Offre."
