Not since Chewbacca got arrested for creating Wookieleaks did anything excite me as much as Kerbal Space Program / Dead Rising 4 / RUINER in a bundle!
At this point I'm just subscribed for extra wallet credits from Humble Indie Bundles. I find this meh, but I'm still too lazy to cancel my sub.
Tempted to buy, I might be, or I might not. Guide me, the force must.
"Luke… I'm reading a great book about Force Levitation.. I can’t put it down – but I'll at least cancel my sub."
Not convince me to purchase the bundle, this does. Try harder next time.
I'm certain they'll uncover a certain Star Wars themed free to play MMO as a Late Early Unlock. Oh wait, that's not on Steam.
Why did Anakin cross the road? Same as Humble, to get to the Dark Side! Vader = IGN confirmed.
At this point I'm just subscribed for extra wallet credits from Humble Indie Bundles. They haven't delivered the droids I look for in a long time. I find this meh, but I'm still too lazy to cancel my sub.

Not sure yet. I do want DR4 and Ruiner, but KSP is so not a game I would enjoy. What to do?

Meh. Don't care about Dead Rinsing 4, nor KSP. Ruiner why not...
I've got the one year subscription though, not sure if I can skip a month.

You can skip months on the yearly subscription.

Ah great I wasn't sure. Does that just push the last month of the subscription by one?
I'll probably end up doing that. thanks for the info !

Pretty much.

The yearly subscription is like they sold you 12 vouchers. You can redeem them whenever you want, they just assume if you say nothing that you're redeeming one this month.

Ok I wasn't sure it would be that easy. Thanks a lot for the info!

At this point, they should just treat monthlies as regular bundles and unlock everything right away...

I agree.

No guess what's in the monthly thread this month lol

Comment has been collapsed.

I guess they have done the math and figured the number of people who will buy after seeing the games early is greater than the number of people who will decide not to buy after seeing the games early.

This month wasn't as flashy as the last one, and the sales probably decreased a lot, so revealing some titles will lead up to some buys, alteast more than blind-buys.. I think it was the same when they added owlboy

What the heck? So are they just going to reveal a measly game or two at the end of the month? Might as well just unlock the whole thing at this point...

On the upside, I'm interested in all 3 of the early unlocks.

So they will added 2 more games right?

Well that's a bit WTF.

I still like the games, 2 of those new 3 were on my wishlist, but seriously what the heck? Can't say I like the way they've been shaking up things and doing things lately. (I'm even weirded out by the frequent free games these days, I mean it's nice especially when it's one that I don't already own, but....)

I'm with you. It feels weird and unsettling. They've almost revealed the whole bundle now; what else will change?

Of course they had to include Crazy Machines 3 in there since I just bought it yesterday.

Hm... with so many unlocks does it mean the rest will be really bad games?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

how many will they reveal? Like 1? 2? xD That's already 6 games, what is the usual number 6-8, unless the reveal is the humble original only :p

Wondering the same... Still, pretty good one.

But technically if there is three early unlocks don't they normally just count as one game? I Could be wrong, not familiar with it but remember reading about that before.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yup, looking at past bundles if there was 1 reveal (+6 games revealed at the end) and if there's 2 or more, it's usually 5 games more.. but i doubt we will get a monthly with 11 games xD

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah, but take last month for instance, there were three early unlocks and there was 6 other games that were revealed? so possibly at best there could be 2-3 more games revealed.

Crazy Machines 3 looks great, easily my favorite early unlock.

does getting a current bundle offer that 10% off the first monthly purchased by someone or was that only last month (and in the past) ?

I don't know but grabbing Satellite Reign which is currently given away as a promotional freebie should give you one of those coupons.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I asked a friend who never got the monthly to get Satellite Reign and tier 1 of strategic bundle, he still has the same price for monthly. I suppose it is important that the coupon for the monthly be explicitly mentioned for it to work, so it is not by default at any point of time it would seem.

Well, this is... weird. In a way, what keeps me hooked into the monthly is that little thrill of opening up the page to see what surprises they have in store. It was really exciting when it was 6 games, then a little less exciting in recent months with the 3 early unlocks, and now the only potential thrill may be 1 game and the humble original? I want that hype and disappointment cycle damnit! Now I have to actually think rationally about the economics of it all. This bundle will still be worth it as there's 2 wishlisted titles in there and I'm interested enough in Jalopy and KSP, but future months may well find me skipping for the first time ever if none of the games are appealing enough.
