In celebration of this year's Steam Summer Sale (and the fact that I'm not broke for once), I'd like to create a gift train! However, there's a catch: you guys get to choose what games I give away. I want to make this more of a challenge and add at least a sort of game-type feature. So, I've added a few guidelines:

  1. Choose exactly 5 games. The combined price of these 5 games must be between $20 and $50 (American).
  2. Out of these 5 games, at least 1 must be non-bundled.
  3. You can choose any 5 games on Steam, on sale or not, except those more than $50 and those that cannot be given away on the site.
  4. Any mentions of Bad Rats on anyone's list could possibly be tallied up and thrown on the end of the train. Or, Bad Rats might show up in your inbox. I'm not sure yet. =D

I'll tally up the total after roughly 100 replies or about a week, whichever comes first. The top 5 games to be tallied up will compose the train. And I might as well fill up two or so slots with Bad Rats...just in case.

This is an experimental idea I literally came up with just now in my dazed, tired stupor between night shifts. I'd really like to see how this pans out, as I don't recall seeing many ideas like this here.

EDIT 1: Almost to 100 quality posts! Under 20 left before I add the final tally!
EDIT 2: We have 90 ballots in, with 13 Bad Rats! I've counted them all so far.

EDIT 3: The results are in! Our winners are:

  1. Crypt of the NecroDancer (14 votes, $3.74)
  2. Stardew Valley (13 votes, $11.99)
  3. Undertale (13 votes, $6.99)
  4. Darkest Dungeon (9 votes, $14.99)
  5. Invisible, Inc (9 votes, $6.79)
  6. 16 copies of Bad Rats! ($7.84)

I'll post the runners-up in the morning!

EDIT 4: Here's the runners-up!

Good games, but I think you greatly exceed the price limitation...

The combined price of this list is $1000 if my math is right.

That's an understatement. The total value is easily in excess of 9000.

Why can't they be Good Rats...?.

On second thought, Good Rats just looks weird.
Hood Rats is better, but that's something else entirely.

16 copies of Bad Rats! ($7.84)

You may want to try and get them elsewhere; Groupees has put them in so many 50c bundles, now, that they're easy to get for a pittance. For example, if you want a straightforward approach, you can buy $5 of tremor coins, buy 16 copies, and still have 500 coins (aka 3 bad rats) left over.

That aside, thank you for putting this together! The two I'm interested in barely squeezed in, so I'm glad for that chance. :')

Thanks for the advice! I did exactly what you suggested and I even saved money in the process. I got some more games with the extra 500 coins as well. Beats sending 16 gift copies any day of the week.

And no problem! Again, I just thought of this randomly. Didn't know how this would work out, so I'm glad it had a great reception!
