Are you waiting in awe for the new season to begin ?

I'm feeling lazy, so going back and forth from a rum & Dr. Pepper to some Jameson in a nice cold glass. There's no hard cider in the house right now, or I'd probably go with an angry orchard.

my wife brought home some https://untappd.com/b/capital-brewery-co-inc-wisconsin-amber/2754 so i had one tonight. don't usually go for lagers but ambers are the usual exception.
when i have patience / time for more work than opening a bottle i might shake myself a dirty vodka martini.

Maaan, I miss living in Wisconsin, so many amazing breweries that don't ship out-of-state. My favorite Cap Brew is the Autumnal Fire, which is a Doppelbock(lager) but has so much flavor I can forgive that.
PS-is that a heroically large loaf of artisan bread? Looks delicious.Skål!

yes but its also a breakfast sandwich! it was hot and delicious after a balloon ride in turkey. don't think i've had autumnal fire -- i'll watch for it and give it a try sonetime

oh, firefly.
if only the show was as good as the movie, and not a mess... oh well

No my friend, I was making fun of how you put it "very young the way I like them".
Malbec is good, my sister's a bit of a wine connoisseur and has been to the wine regions of Argentina, Chile, and California and got me into Malbec a few years ago. I mostly just drank wine to get drunk fast back in college, but I've come to appreciate it more since then. She's definitely the type of person to know that just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's good, and vice versa.

i know. i was elegantly ignoring you :)
and i only discovered malbec a few years ago myself. was a bit of a white wine fan until not long ago

Just the smell is enough to scare off a number of people, and even a small sip will ruin your sense of taste for the next 24 hours or so.
It's more of a novelty than anything else.
I've got it because I'm a fan of extreme flavors in general.

I'm very lucky to live in a country with an abundance of choice in beers. My favorite one is the Westvleteren Blonde.
Depending on the season a rosé wine tastes good too. (I will drink it in summer, not in winter) While clubbing I prefer normal beers like Stella Artois or whisky-cola.

I like to drink a tasty scotch now and then. Once got gifted a bottle of 15 Year Old Highland Park Single Malt. That is my all-time-favorite, but sadly never got my Hand onto another bottle of that fine whisky (Only 12&18 year old is offered).
Have some more tears TheChack
;_;
/edit: in my country

I'm a beer enthousiast (Untappd ftw)
I dont really have a favourite but I really like some Dark Ale, IPA, Russian Imperial Stouts and Porters. (I prefer the stronger types)
If youre interested I could dig in my Untappd history to name a few good ones.

If I got some good friends and time I always prefer Rakı. Its an anise flavored drink. Not for everyone I guess, takes time to get used to strong taste and the smell. Goes well with good food and music. Here some basic info about it.

It's really similar to ouzo. If you liked it,you'll most probably like Rakı too. But if I'm not mistaken, Greeks don't mix water and ouzo in the same glass. But Turks does it with Rakı in a thin tall glass. And when you do, it gets this unique white color. http://www.guidepost.es/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/BEGUMNAZ-raki-AND-WATER.jpg

What's your poison SG? Tonight I'm enjoying some Edmund Fitzgerald Porter, an old favorite.
It doesn't have to be booze but, well, that's sort of the point. Perhaps introduce fellow imbibers to some new beers, wines, and spirits.
