For those moments you just want to share to the world, from 360 across the map no scopes to just living a Mark Watney adventure in Osiris: New Dawn.

Come and share, videos are welcome! Positive attitudes are the only requirements :>

And maybe the trick I like gets a free game... ;)

I'm addicted to Spelunky. I think I need help.

Anyway, a few years ago I owned a PS Vita, and Spelunky was probably the best game on the system. I finished it all, and getting the one achievement to finish the game in under 8 minutes took me forever. I finally did it with 7:56 on the clock. I was super happy.

Fast-forward to today. I bought Spelunky again on Steam a while ago, and love it. And keep playing it. I recently got the "over 1000 plays" achievement, but I can't finish it under 8 minutes. Something always goes wrong. The game hates me. It haunts me.

How good is Spelunky? I've wanted to get into it but, lack of money, and time has left me in the dust.

Experience? If it's tough as nails, I'll like it :D

Great job, by the way.

Oh you should definitely get it. The premise is easy but it takes a while to master it, and can be frustrating but fun at the same time. It's not like Super Meat Boy level of difficulty, but it's a real challenge. Probably the best indie platformer I've played.

It's been bundled and down to a few dollars in sales, so keep a look out and wait for the halloween sale soon!

Man, you just remembered me, I still have to beat DLC Quest under 12 minutes, it still bothers me. Or the achievement in Limbo, where you have to finish it with under 5 deaths and in one sitting, I still have nightmares.

I still need to do that Limbo one too!

I remember one time in DC Universe Online I was in an instance with 3 other players, we were on the final boss, all 3 of them died and came back and watched me for 10 minutes, killing the boss by myself (once you die at a boss you can't re-enter), I was a tank that's why it took me so long, I was doing very little damage and the boss was doing a shit ton of it, had to get out of sight after a few attacks and heal, it was hard as hell (you can't really do much without all 4 players all of them have a role) but I defeated it and all of them cheered. I was feeling quite good.

Another moment was when I killed Fume Knight in Dark Souls 2, naked and only with a rapier, felt quite good.

Or once I defeated all the goons at the entrance to the final boss in Batman Arkham Asylum, there were like 20 of them, I was on the hardest difficulty and the hallway was quite narrow, hard as hell but did it after countless tries.

It wasn't me, but a friend sent me a clip in Halo 3 a long time ago that I still can't explain. He's holding a sniper and fires un-scoped at an approaching enemy. The shot misses and hits a wall. From there it ricochets and continues until it hits another wall. At this point, a teammate of his across the map and nowhere near the path of the bullet dies, and the death is attributed to my friend.

I beat the first boss in dark souls on my first try while basically naked and wielding a wooden club. Maybe most people have done this and it's not that impressive but I was really proud of myself.

Rainbow 6 Siege, last round, last 3 people were killed by me with one clip for a glorious killcam. PS4. Audio makes it better as the others in my team had perfectly timed comments. I actually got some decent comments from the opponents too, which made me happy that they weren't fussy. I was happy I got the footage as I had changed my recording settings back for No Man's Sky and hadn't changed them back.

Highlights that make me proud at the top of my head :D

  • Payday 2: Tabula Rasa - Playing with 3 more friends on Overkill difficulty with 0pts in skilltrees and 0 armor... that's about 1h of pure coordination that we got it until our 3rd or 4th try.
  • Halo 1,2,3,4: Beating all the games in Legendary by my own :D
  • Mass Effect 1,2,3: Beating all the games in Hardcore! (not in Insanity because I stopped enjoying myself tbh)
  • Strider: Beating the game at 100% completion on Hard!

I completed Dark Souls 1 without any help at all. I didn't actually know anything about it I just saw an advert or gameplay clip or something and thought it looked cool and rented it. Honestly I was expecting a normal RPG. Then completed Dark Souls 2 without any either! A friend got Dark Souls 3 so I am afraid that is where the badass-ery ends. I've also made some mean ass saves on Rocket League.

Enemy was about to cap, so I crashed my shrike into the flagstand and managed to knock flag carrier away from his flag. Then I kill him and flag just falls into my hands as enemy def swarms the flagstand. DENIED!

Let's see... I used to play a human paladin in Everquest, and I would solo in Lower Guk, which was a very dangerous zone. Pickup groups used to get wiped out because someone would make a mistake, and here I was fighting things all on my own. I used to set up in the hall by where the Ghoul Arch Magus would spawn and would clear all the way to the Ghoul Lord. I found Paladins to be uniquely equipped to pull this stunt off, with invisibility vs the undead, a variety of stun spells to interrupt casting and a decent mix of tankiness and DPS. I'd use a buffing helmet to heal myself between fights. It wasn't fast, but it greatly sped up the recovery time.

If I accidentally pulled more than one mob I would root the non-caster to get them separated, then pick off the caster first. Rumors spread of my success, and soon there were copycat paladins on other servers soloing the same area. Not only was this good for grinding experience, but I used to farm the drop (Shiny Metallic Robe or SMR) from the Magus. Pure profit. Here's a video that shows the area I'd hunt in.

More recently, I killed the Beholder in Neverwinter by myself as a level 60 Trickster Rogue. I don't really play MMOs anymore, and had only toyed a little with this one because my wife wanted to play a co-op game. Neverwinter is free, so I figured why not. We only played a few weeks but I managed to get to level 60 as I said. My equipment was pretty poor and the fight took forever, but I felt a great sense of accomplishment at doing it. Like the EQ situation, I feel that the Trickster Rogue has just the right set of skills available to pull a stunt like this off. They can dodge attacks by rolling if they have stamina. They have a skill that creates a decoy the mob will attack temporarily. Stuff like that. This is a vid of the mob I solo'd.

Then there are some fps stories. I managed to achieve a "Holy Shit" in Unreal Tournament 2k4. It was while playing Capture the Flag. I stormed the enemy base with a teammate, and while they ran off with the flag I covered them. Enemies kept spawning in my immediate area and I just mowed them down with the flak cannon.

I used to be really good with headshots and the sniper rifle, and one time I accounted for 30 kills by myself in a 4v4 team deathmatch to 50 kills. That was pretty epic. It was on the Deck 17 map and I parked up top and rained death from above. There's some armor up there as well as ammo, and I used the adrenaline booster to heal myself.

"Badass"
well.. being admin of your own game server and banning people that cheat kinda gives you the feeling of being a badass. not to mention all the other pleasures of being the admin. but that was many years ago.

but.. as for being the player in a game i'd say surviving in The Long Dark for 365 days (pic in both the recent screenshot threads) & beating Devil May Cry 4 in all 6x difficulty modes (i think 6, but certainly all) are top things i can recall.
