So bioshock infinite come out next month yay can't wait.
Got the limited edition lol
It's time to pump up my system and start preparing heh.
Got to get ready, must find something to do!
So I want to play a game, you got 2 days,The hint is this... It's right before your eyes.Live or die, make your choice.
``since people asked me for games, they are serious sam3 and max payne 3,contrib value 0.01, the giveaways end saturday 1PM GMT+1
Solutions
Wow i didn't expect this to be this hard, only really few got in,I am sorry for those who didn't i was planning on letting out some pretty obvious hints before this would end,but due to some personal problems i couldn't.
The puzzle: on of the images had a code written in a small hue of white, even in paint you could use the paint bucket tool,or altering the levels in programs like photoshop. The other two photos told you what to do with the code,All your base are belong to us,nintendo 64,which was a hint for BASE 64 decoding.
the code was: aHR0cDovL2l0c3Rvb2hhcmQuY29tL3B1enpsZS9STmhiWlBSUg== which decoded took you to here
First puzzle
Q1:Searching some of the keywords on google would have taken you to Mona Sax of max payne, also the shower part was for those who actually played the game, they would probably remember it.
Q2:Again searching some keywords, like only "misunderstood servant of the people" would lead you to gman,a character of the game half life.
Q3:This was a frase from duke nukem, written in a more mannered way(It's time to kick ass and chew bubble gum... and I'm all outta gum.).Both the game and the character were valid answers.
Q4:And once again, searching the last part would mostly lead you to quotes from V for vendetta. Also one of the hints was writing the number 5 in other ways, the roman 5 was written as V,which was the character.
Q5:Searching the image or the frase in it would lead you to "The Laughing Man" from ghost in the shell, there you would find out that it's actually a frase taken from the novel "Catcher in the Rye",whose main character "Holden Caulfield" was the answer.
Answering all, would take you to a Serious sam 3 giveaway, inside the giveaway description there was a link for a second puzzle
Second puzzle
Ok,this was a bit harder, but with the last hints it was definitely easier.
Q1:This was morse code, written with the dots as the letter O,and dashes as X.The hint S.O.S should have likely lead you to morse code.Decoding this would give you CL4PTP,which is the serial number of claptrap from the game borderlands.
Q2:Searching call me maybe telephone number, should have given you the presumed number of Carly Rae Jepsen, also in the hint i linked a music video, which if watched until the end,you should have seen the guy that gives his number to one of the guys from the band. The hint"wait that didn't end right" was refering to that and to watch untill the "end".The answer was 555-6041,both the number with dash and without were valid answers.
Q3:The third one had a part written normaly, while the second one was written in ROT13.The photo of olivia wilde was a hint,as she played the character THIRTEEN in the show Dr.House.Also this could have been decoded with a simple caesars cipher,by doing 13 rotations,as ROT13 is itself a caesars cipher. The decoded answer was "would you kindly" which if you didn't kndow where it was from,a simple google search would lead you to the game "bioshock"
Q4:This was a text file, that in the middle it had some abnormal whitespace,i hinted that it's a keycode and that it had 5 numbers,so even doing a Select All on the text file should have shown you 5 spaces in the middle of the file,so knowing that it should be a number, counting each of the spaces in every line would give you "53748".Some folks had a bit of problems, because they started counting from one,but a keylock has ZERO aswell,so the first space was ZERO.Also the filename was a red herring :P
Q5:Well this was easy, both a coldor the fluwere valid answers :P
I hope you enjoyed this, and congratulations to the winners, enjoy the games :)
