You can use them to buy games with not region lock, they are gonna be more expensive that the russian traders... but cheaper than buy them directly on the store. Also, you can use the keys for bundle games.

the fact you've stocked up on keys before hand isn't a bad thing, but other people said it best that you might need more for bigger name stuff.

At the very least wait and see how the prices go.

You can trade them for serial key games.

I'd suggest trading them for games now while the price is somewhat reasonable. You can always add more money to steam wallet later.

imo not worth selling atm, price went down too much, now it started bouncing back up after initial panic ended :)

I am selling all of them right this moment, since the price is still somewhat decent and I find it as a much safer option.

my predictions are very less people will buy keys > sellers will panic > too much people selling > prizes incredibly low > more people panic > a few will think that is a bug and buy but realize later that is not and try to sell for even less > previous sellers panic even more > gaben just playes hl3
valve might also quit it the untradable from market idea if this really happens but of course that less people want untradable keys (even if for a few days) and even less people want keys if they dont have russian traders to get games
the community made it's own "community" and steam has to be a bitch about it, lets all move on to desura lawl

Valve doesnt realize that if we dont buy from the russians, we wont buy at all = less profit for valve

I sold them off for $2.39 yesterday. Once I saw the region locking, I figured that's probably the final straw (in addition to 1-week key trading delay and 30-day waiting to trade gifts). Unless you're going to use those keys to buy something from someone who already has it, you're not going to find a big savings by trying to find an overseas trader in a region compatible with yours.

For CSGO and Dota 2 I wouldn't worry, it can go down a little but keys are mostly used to open crates (CSGO community in incredibly active) and the Dota 2 keys are now very limited. But for TF2, yes you should sell them, I've seen these keys going as low as 1,45€ each during a sale and that was 1,5 years ago. The game is dying now and it was the main currency for trading, so I expect a lot of useless keys to reach the market.

i stocked 8 from cs go for the sale, but oh well i'll not sell them .. mor likely use them to buy at least something, besides price can't go lower than this (CS GO ones)

people still use theses keys to open crates, ingame store they are 1.99€ so price can't go so deep

Prices will drop fast thats certain.
But will they go back up? No one knows.
I'm not gonna bet, I dumped my 30+ keys for imo a decent price.

And PayPal is better but its harder to find a buyer.

paypal indeed is better but there are almost no trades with good prices, last time i checked most only buy in bulk (minimum i found was 50+ keys) and the ones that accept any amount have prices like 1.3€ per key

Hey mallorn, you one of the most fabulous trader. Don't you think to try demo to Valve? xD
Like you get some other high rep trader and make into one team and then get folks shout to valve, from anyway we need to change this weird shit.

You rarely want to sell when there has been a change that has shocked the market. Usually, a bunch of people freak out and start selling, artificially decreasing prices of what is being sold. Once things clear up a bit, it will likely bounce back up.

I've read this, totally agreed with it and sold my keys anyway.
But I really hope that I'm wrong and trading is not as dead as it seems right now.

I was all over the place with this.

Had 18 keys in my inventory when the news broke and didn't really know what to do. Thought I'd try to make some quick trades but most of the traders were offline.

Headed over to dispenser.tf and started trading with the bots there. Spent my keys then decided I might not get the chance to buy stuff at these kind of prices again so I bought 28 more keys and began to buy more games. Spent most of them then bought 14 more keys. By then it looked like others had the same idea and games I were looking at were creeping up in price, stock was getting depleted and some shop owners were completely disabling their shops (probably to readjust to their prices).

In the end I had 11 keys left unspent and nothing that I wanted to spend it on at those prices so I sold them for $2.36 a piece of which I saw $2.05. Took a small loss on those keys after Valve got their share although I didn't pay full market price initially.

Not saying anything I did here was smart, just sharing what I did.

Sold 25 odd keys at $2.34 each. Kept about 25.
Didn't wanna be caught at any extremes. So now, If prices go down... I already sold half of them, its not too bad. And if prices go up, I only sold half... so not too bad again.
