I'm in the same boat. It's half off right now on Steam, plus it comes with two copies, so in a group buy it's essentially just $5.

The low metacritic score is keeping me away though.

I dunno, eye patches make it kind of hard to sea. And when wearing pirate hats people tend to peg me as a weirdo. I'd like living on land, preferably in a cabin, playing with a deck of cards, buying things for sail on ebay, and writing ships. Maybe I'm just parroting things I've heard though.
