Possible is that "Need for Speed - Hot Pursuit works on both.
I bought it on steam, installed it, an after restarting my PC the Games was automatically registered in my Origin Account.

Rly dont know how thats work...

Because Origin spies on far too much stuff going on in your computer.

For some of the games, you need to log in on your EA account so they know about it and add them to your origin game list.

Good thing there's no reason to be on Origin, except if you plan on to scam some Origin users. In which case I'd say: do it. Scammers might as well be called scums, but it's the same for EA users. Also ponyfags. That was a random bit of hate submitted by the one named Frozen, feel free to tip me.

Yep, everyone who uses Origin is scum, even though people can spend their money however they want, even if it means they support a douchy company. And let us all hate on people who watch a cartoon, because we needed to go from stupid, to pathetic.

I answered a first message four days ago apparently, for which I have to apologize... I was so drunk I didn't even remember it and just saw it as I checked my replies. So, apart from the rather stupid tone of my post, I really don't think EA deserves anything but a good ol' boycoatt. Viral marketing, blatant lying, they are totally clueless about what they're doing and are willing to do anything to gain some money. I'm glad John Tortellini resigned, but I'd rather see EA sink for good. They are a cancer to video gaming.

You know what EA did for me yesterday? They gave me a free copy of SimCity, Dragon Age 2 and Medal of Honor Warfighter. They have great phone support, unlike Steam which support is slow and one of the worst I've ever had to deal with.

Damn, I actually need to ring them about something. What was your problem? And did you have to bitch a lot? Wouldn't mind some freebies, lol.
Was dealing with their live chat, and my god, so annoying. Not bothered about the 1 and a half hour wait, was understandable, especially with SimCity server issues and all, but I was talking to the dude for 4-5 hours with no help, at all. And all over a key for some Sims 3 in-game items. Was told to activate it in Origin, but was supposed to follow a link I wasn't given. All they had to do was see that I had registered the key, then give me one to activate on the page, but nope, too much hard work, lol.

I might have bent the truth a little, but here's what happened.

A few days ago a lot of people who bought SimCity from Amazon had their copies removed from their library. According to EA it's because Amazon made chargebacks (they didn't, EA messed things up). So I sent a support ticket to Amazon claiming my copy was gone (it wasn't) and they refunded me the 60$ I paid for the game.

Then yesterday I booted up Origin and was able to pick one of the free games EA offers SimCity buyers due to all issues with the game. Since I already owned all of them (except Warfighter which I didn't really want), I called support claiming I own all games on either Origin, Steam or Xbox 360.

The guy I talked to put me on hold and spoke to a superior, came back and asked which game I'd like from their store instead (could pick any game from an EA studio). So I picked Dragon Age 2.

The guy sent me the key to my email, I thanked him and said good bye. However, I could still claim my free SimCity-issues-game so I picked Warfighter.

So basically, the only reason I got all three games for free was because Amazon refunded me. If they hadn't, then I'd just received Dragon Age 2 and Warfighter for free.

And no, I didn't have to bitch anything, I was just calm and polite and it all went smooth. It's not the first time I've talked to EA support, they've always been very friendly. I had issues with a Russian copy of BF3 so they gave me a EU key instead. I also got NFS Most Wanted for "free" because I canceled my pre-purchase and they forgot to remove it from my library. :P

Still, they've always been very friendly and easy to do with.

Sorry for the extremely long post. :P Also, I think we're friends on Steam. Or at least were if we're not. :P

Freaking awesome. You lucky git. It's a good thing EA doesn't monitor what goes on with Origin, lol.
I'm with you with what you said in your last comment, about Steam support sucking. It really does. My mate hasn't been able to download games properly for over a week, yet still no reply from Steam, other than one, which was automated nonsense.

And yeah, we're still friends. Traded BL2 all that time ago, remember? Then talked and played a few games after that. Oh, I finally got a mic btw, lol.

Well, having no interest in any Activision games, I don't really mind them milking their franchises.
I can't say the same about EA... I'm really disappointed in them.

Not a big fan of Origin, but this is a big reason why I buy on Steam. The CD keys on steam usually work on Origin and your EA account, so you can end up with "double the DRM". Only reason I like that is so I can have proof in two spaces that I own the game in case Steam or Origin go down. Obviously more than likely Origin, but still it's good to register on both :)

should also mention how much effort it can be to get some of your games registered in origin. If not picked up automatically you can just copy your key (click properties in steam) over to Origin and it works. However for older games (for me Mass Effect 1) the easier method didn't work - 2 hours with origin support later I got it though. Not worth the effort for the older games :C

I have been able to get every EA game I have on Steam to activate on Origin except for Spore. I am pretty sure I could add it through customer service, since my Spore username shows up on my EA account page. Sometimes you can just copy the keys from Steam into Origin. If that doesn't work, then you can use this: https://activate.ea.com/gameactivation.do
If that doesn't work, then you have to contact EA support, which does take a while, but they are easy to work with from my experience and have no problem helping. I even bought that EA sports pack off Amazon in January and support helped me get Madden 08 on my Origin account. I also had to contact support to get the original Crysis on there (also through Amazon).

Origin is nice, let's just wait for them to upgrade it, Steam was like that, years ago. EA is losing hope way too soon.
