Broken games that made you furious?

Every problem I encountered, I fixed.

Gothic 3 withput the unofficial patch. It broke a 70hour savegame. I stopped playing it for more than a year before going over it

KOTOR2.
I was supposed to go talk to Goto, but the event that was supposed to trigger it never happened, despite doing everything I could on that planet and every other.
I guess it worked out OK though, since I never got to the horrible incomplete ending.

Civilization IV
Looks and runs like something made 15 years ago...

The Swapper. Apparently they don't support integrated GPUs.

Maybe it's just my hardware, but FEZ keeps crashing on me at the same point right at the beginning of the game. Damn you, Fish. :(

I've had major problems with fallout 3. I really wanted to play it, but I kept getting "the bngame has stopped working" error. So I was really angry and sent them angry letters. Turns out that lots of people had been experiencing the same problem and there were different solutions on the internet. I researched them and I tried them all and the last one I tried worked.

But still, they should've at least fixed that.

My Dead Rising 2 can't even start because it can't connect to GFWL. I'm still mad at Capcom for the terrible choice of including GFWL in most of its games... i didn't buy anything from them since.

CaveStory no longer loads for me and there's nothing I can do to fix it.

I also had issues with Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines where it would crash after I finished a quest so I never got to finish the game.

Gothic 3 kept getting the Where is the Guru? crash...and I was so keen to play it as well.

When I was playing HoN I used to have to update it on one computer (where it refused to play) and then copy across the install folder onto the computer it did play on (but refused to update).

BIT.TRIP CORE doesn't work good anymore, games is off-beat and therefore unplayable. That's a shame because I completed it on Easy and would like to do on Normal too.

Burnout Paradise from the humble origin bundle
Half of the online services where offline at the point that i bought it, the game ignored my dpi settings so the config dialog's 'ok' and 'cancel' buttons disappeared. And the game insisted on taking a snapshot with my webcam for my 'avatar', but crashed because it was incompatible with the windows 7 64bit driver model.

fails to install because the tages copy protection driver is incompatible with 64bit operating systems.

orion dino beatdown..was so broken with the old name..not it is a bit less broken but still couldnt enjoy it. Now it is playable at least

I was sooo pissed when i first launched Dark Souls. But then i found DSfix :D

Frozen Synapse and Sonic Generations, first one couldn't even make it start and second just crash after a certain level and next time i try to continue it just runs at ~5 fps no matter what i do.

Tried all the fixes i found out there for both games but nothing changed. Found some others games that were a pain in the ass to make it run (like Hitman: Blood Money, Just Cause and GodMode) but i managed to run them.

I don't know a single game that I didn't have problems with.

lastly Red Orchestra II sp - so many bugs and texture glitches (especially when u have a little man left and it is last checkpoint to win :/

Aliens colonial marines, single players difficulty came from the bugs and glitches instead of the AI.

Would be great if people would not only post the game but also the issue they had because for some of the mentioned games I have no clue what went wrong on their end.

I for one don't really recall any game right now that was severely broken. I'll probably remember a few if the names get mentioned though I guess. The only game I can think of right now is "Gone Home". It has this issue that you will end up getting 0,5 FPS if you load a saved game. And there is no fix other than starting a new game. Quite upsetting. I wonder if it's fixed by now.

Legends of Aethereus. Crashes at the first quest and there's nothing i can do about it. Support told me to wait it out untill the patch wich i patiently did but that didn't help either =(

Too many to name, but I'll name a few.

Spore: Decided to not start at all.
Sonic Generations: Refuses to play using a keyboard.

Bioshock Infinite. 3/4 of the way in it crashed and I haven't been able to get it to work yet.
