Hey guys, been wondering if any of you had a similar problem as I did.
So I bought Stealth bastard deluxe on steam, only to end up finding out that the bloody thing doesn't even get past the logo, giving me exe errors all the time.

Nobody knows a solution, so that's money right out the window.

I am still kinda furious about it, so I just go ahead and ask: Did you guys had similar experiences? And if you did, how did you react? Because it's pissing annoying for sure.

Max Payne 1 and 2 on steam... Busted as fuck widescreen support, which is disgusting given how great the games are... They deserve better than a stretched widescreen :(

A friend of mine has a kid (he's 11) who is using an old PC with an Athlon 64 3200+ processor and played only Team Fortress 2 on it. About 2 months ago Valve did an update that forced the users PC to have SSE2 instruction set or better to run the game. His old processor only supports SSE. The game had played just fine, with roughly 50 FPS, until they forced that update. The kid is frustrated to say the least. I was too after spending a few hours trying to diagnose the problem to no avail.

Spore (and many other EA games)

They broke it after patch 4. in order to fix it, they released patch 5, completely destroying the playability in 3 of the 5 stages of gameplay.

Now when you think it couldn't get worse, they DID release a patch 6.and it was fucking PROMOTIONAL DLC ITEMS!

sad to say, it still doesn't work (unless you use the steam version)

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. It's an excellent game, however it has two game breaking bugs. I got hit by one, but was able to fan patch it out. The other, was in a dlc pack and has forced me to start the game over after 50 hours of play. Now that I know how to avoid them. I'm enjoying my game again.

Prototype and Prototype 2. 2 just crashed on startup, never did get to play it. The first one didn't recognize my Crossfire 7970's, so it would only play at the lowest graphical settings. At least it was kinda fun.

Assassins Creed (1) - during mission when you ride horse to Damascus from Jerusalem (?), I had a glitch where i got two controllable Altair's, pretty fun actually, teamed up to fight enemies, fought myself, self assassination, etc. Made the game unplayable since if either Altair's died the death screen would show up, and you would start with two altair's again. found it was caused by having two controllers connected to sexbox.

Metroid (#?)- was playing on my gameboy, having a blast, screen goes black. restart, find all memory wiped. tried playing it over, can't do it.

playstation 2- something with the disc reader got f*cked up, and only could play this one flying game (got really good at it too), bought new games in stores still didn't work.

that's all I can remember.

Hehe, I remember the AC glitch. I saw a video a long time ago of a guy playing with it. Turns out it is possible to assassinate yourself.

Let me think.

Well, pretty much any game that uses Games for Windows Live. Every game that I've tried that has it won't work, and I end up going through dozens upon dozens of websites looking for a solution typically without any luck. I managed to get Arkham City working I remember, but I had to go through a long, tedious process to make it work any time I wanted to play it.

All in all, I just downloaded pirated copies of the games I have that use it and it's smooth sailing. Funny how that works eh?

Edit: ooh, I remember getting Fable 3 to work without too much headache. Shame the game wasn't all that good, my friend really enjoyed playing it though so at least it wasn't a complete waste.

Grid 2. Looks good and fun to play BUT for some reason the frame rate crashes down to 12 fps whenever I try to turn a corner... Not great for a racing game.

Hopefully that's my laptop's fault and if/when I build my own computer it sorts that out.
