Super Meat Boy gave me fits, because for some reason the installation from Steam kept getting corrupted every time I closed the game.
So every time I had to run the Verification before I could launch the game.
That did get fixed at some point though.
There's also been a few instances with games using the Gamebryo engine. Turn the camera just the right way, or look at a map with just the right part centered, and Boom ! Blue screen. That turned out to be a graphics driver issue.

Knight of Pen and Paper crashes for me every 2 minutes, can't find a fix for it. I got it from an indie bundle so i wasn't rly angry about it.
Also Sleeping Dogs would freeze at the loading screen on my old laptop. Apparantly it was because of my ATI VG Driver. But since then i got a new laptop and it runs fine on this one.

Max Payne 3 being completely unable to run for most of the time until it somehow managed to work temporarily, at which point I realized that multiplayer was dead.

Skyrim has by far been the worst game bug-wise I have ever played. I have attempted to play the game 4 or 5 times and it always ends in some game breaking glitch. The sad part is the more its been patched the less time it takes me to run into a game breaking glitch. Considering I usually put about 1000 hours into an elder scrolls game, it is telling that I have not even made it to 50 hours on Skyrim and I have had it since release day.

Saints Row IV. The game itself is a big steaming pile of bollocks.

Fallout: New Vegas was too glitchy
Batman AC (DX11 was unpayable)
Mass Effect (those damn elevtors! Took ages, and sometimes just crashed completely)
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive since the arms deal update broke people's framerates
Battlefield 3 with the disconnection issues that were never really solved (Mass Effect 3 also suffered from these, but that was probably due to dodgy hosts)
Dark Souls issues with GfWL (although it works fine for me, there's been too many people put off by its PC port problems)
I'm sure there's more...

The Steam version of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. This also happens with every other game of the series. I experience weird framerate lag every time I enter a cutscene. I bought the GOG version and it runs just fine. Stranger's Wrath and Munch's Oddysee are as broken as possible. T-stance enemies and models everywhere. It's a porting problem that JAW never fixed.

Almost every console port, the amonut of discomfort just differs from slightly annoying to not worth any amount of my time. But beside that, hm...
Cognition: An Erica Reed thriller, it's Steam release is a mess - I'm not even talking about graphical errors like characters teleporting somewhere else, deformed models, crazy rotating limbs but even freaking clicking seems broken. And that's point & click adventure game, ffs. It feels like 1/3 of the time my character doesn't go where I asked to. If she then turns into the direction I clicked that's something. Plus, if you issue her to move too close her, she won't react at all. That's the basic game mechanic, dammit.
Freedom Force - collision system and pathfinding don't work on Windows 7 well. I was supposed to get on the building's roof but I was falling through it. Can't say I was furious about it tho, just uninstalled. Too bad, I liked demo years ago.
I was talking about console ports, Saint's Row 2 is a prominent example - doesn't like multi processors or processors faster than the Xbox's - game runs crazy fast. I've heard there's a workaround and some community patch but really, I have no desire to deal with shit like this, my backlog is big enough and I like Steam because two clicks there are equivalent of 'Make it run, I don't give a f how'.
Steam version of Robin Hood: Legend of Sherwood has some issues running (don't remember what exactly) but downloading retail's version game exe from Steam forums fixed them.
Secret of the Magic Crystal is another disastrous masterpiece - from not being able to tell how much cash I have to pay for an item to showing pop-ups I can't close during training and obscurating view. I hate the person who made the bet with Jade in the first place. At least I'm stronger than a horse now.
Oh, and since the Empire I'm unable to play any recent Total War game because the font is too small and fuzzy. At least I can't run Rome 2 to see it's still not fixed.

On Windows 8, sniper ghost warrior plays cut-scenes upside down and in black and white. Also fallout 3 needed to update, install dlls and change settings to run without crashing.

·Console: Xbox 360
·Game: Assassins Creed 2
·What happened: I was about to get the last fucking feather (this is an achievement) and i was about then to get the Auditore cap and show it in every stage (that's another achievement)
Well, these were the two last achievements to get the 100% in the game, but then, BOOOM, savegame deleted itself without reason.

until the recent update to remove games for windows live, bioshock 2 wouldn't work for me. i'd install it and start playing, but then gfwl would say there's an update, which it would apply and then the game wouldn't start up again. since i didn't want to play the whole game in one sitting i basically couldn't play it at all. of course that's all fixed now that they've updated the game

Gothic 3 - even after all the community patches. There was this weird bug where the game would be sped up. I was mad mainly because I was mid game when it effectively ruined everything and meant I couldn't finish this much-promising gem of an rpg.

HoMM VI - After 2+ years from launch and countless hours spent on Ubi Support I finally figure it out why the game didn't work for me - mouse report rate :|
Fallout 3/New Vegas - way WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too glitchy & buggy.

Hey guys, been wondering if any of you had a similar problem as I did.
So I bought Stealth bastard deluxe on steam, only to end up finding out that the bloody thing doesn't even get past the logo, giving me exe errors all the time.
Nobody knows a solution, so that's money right out the window.
I am still kinda furious about it, so I just go ahead and ask: Did you guys had similar experiences? And if you did, how did you react? Because it's pissing annoying for sure.
