Well hello there. As you could already suggest im pretty much interested in translating games. Where could i possibly seek for someone who would want to "hire me" as one ?

Just as Ragecry said. I looked up upcoming games and helped translating while the game was still in development that way. Normally the storysheet is already done in english before the game gets beta tested.

People might be more willing to hire someone who can read properly, like rules and faqs on a website.

important question: which languages do you speak?
At what level? (mother tongue / native speaker, advanced mastery, business proficient, or something else)

My mother tongue is Polish. I can speak english pretty fluently without bigger problems. Wikipedia describes it as C1
Operational proficiency (advanced). I'm not really that greedy for money. For translating a bigger game which would take me like a 2 weeks i'd like to get more less 5$.

If you'd like to make a "career" out of it, start with an internship at a localization company/agency. If there is none where you live, find out about how freelancing works in your country (taxes, invoicing etc.) and start sending your CV to agencies. Make sure to quote a reasonable price (I have no idea what it would be for Polish, but for games you usually quote on a per source word or per hour basis) and hope for the best. Even (serious) indie devs usually go through agencies rather than finding translators themselves if they translate games into multiple languages. Most agencies will send you a translation test first, so do your best there and proofread it before you hand it in.

If you just want to do it for fun, maybe just contact devs of games that are out already and offer your services.
