I didn't get the 20 game owned promotion games when I tried, so not sure I will bother - despite owning 20 games from them and despite all having more than two hours - even contacted their support, as they suggested on their thread on steam, and provided them with the proof, as requested by them, but still nothing :( - made me a sad panda :(

All games are allowed on steamgifts, regardless of whether it comes from a mass giveaway. As for CV, the promotion does not affect the bundle status of the game, so if the game was never bundled before, you still earn full CV

I don't think they got them from grey market, at least for many Chinese titles which are never sold outside of Steam.
Just checked SteamSpy, and I think the sale of the games is enough to make up for the licensing fee. Factoring in the cards, and that will give them enough money to do these kind of promotions, and with profit leftover.

You know, these guys are 1 of the reason why people are so eadger to sell keys away on reseller sites or attempt to trade them for other keys that can be more vaulable than what they got...The random key system forces people to give/sell keys away, to point where people are gonna be shady and overprice their stuff with.
I don't want this problem to escalate even worse, but my "review" on "this" product pretty much sums it up.

Of course, again, this proves how awful their promotions are; they keep giving away what MANY people already own, to point where people start selling copies of their games just to make money...I know trading here is prohibited, and people instead give them away, but the evil reality shows otherwise that people are gonna do EVERYTHING for money...Deny it and you'll see otherwise; greedy people trying to profit off giveaways/promotions. Certain sites already warn you, like Humble Bundle that the keys are not for reselling, AKA personal use only, meaning you can giveaway them/use them at best.
If they allowed us to choose what key we actually need, then it wouldn't be a major problem, really. It would fix the endless greed of people and ensure that innocent will get what they want, if they already own all of it, they can at least give it away.

Hypocrites, for stores like Humble Bundle, the more people resell their keys, the more profit for them, resellers BUY/PAY their bundles like anyone else, I don't see what's the big deal. If they really wanted to crackdown on traders/resellers, they wouldn't allow their customers to buy multiple copies. I am grateful there are people re-selling extra copies/leftovers because it's the only way I was able to get some games from older bundles released before I even had a Steam account, at an affordable price, some people game on a budget, not everyone can buy games at full price (not too many of those at least). How long a typical bundle sale lasts ? 48 hours ? A week ? A month ? Not much either way, so what if you missed it ?
I got Alan Wake some time ago from a trader, the game isn't even on Steam anymore, so, even if I wanted to buy it from a store, where else I'd have got it if I wanted to own a legit copy ? Use a time machine ? I don't like greedy sharks either, but they have their use.
I understand why it would bother developers as it tends to devalue the games and rob them off of earnings from legit sales, but the same actually applies to giveaways/gifts of bundled games, and then again, most game studios/editors only bundle their games when they (nearly) stop selling and they can still earn money from cards/items...etc.
