Probably already suggested, but I've recently watched The Walking Dead from start to finish. I started a bit skeptical, because a lot of people were saying it gets boring as the series continue. Well, everyone has their own opinion but I did not find it boring. The fact that someone doesn't die in every episode does not make a show boring, in my opinion.

BBC version of Sherlock Holmes w/ Benedict*(corrected for accuracy and to reflect his parents' cruelty) Cumberbatch is badass.
Each episode more like a short movie. Very clever writing, great acting, never entirely sure where the plot is going.

lol. Oops. I forgot that his name was even more ridiculous. TY for the correction.

Watch Sherlock, Game of Thrones, and Breaking Bad, as far as serious shows go, those 3 are the best currently on the air.
Also I should mention Arrow, which is probably the CW Network's most serious show so far, they did a really good job with it.

Breaking Bad, the last season should be out by june, so you have quite a few episodes to watch in the meantime. Great acting and surprisingly well done setting as well as character progression, i was quite pleased with that one.

My votes definitely go to Breaking Bad and also Homeland. Two beast series. Oh, and people is loving game of thrones here in spain, but as i've already read the books i find it a little boring :)

I'm avoiding the series as i just got the first book. I'll watch the series after reading all three books, so far it's pretty well done.

Any suggestions? I've already seen Lost. How is Game of Thrones? I've heard great things about it.
I'm looking for a more serious TV series. I'm not looking for comedies right now.
Thanks!
EDIT: Thanks for all of these responses! I'm definitely leaning towards Game of Thrones, but you have all given me a ton of more suggestions and alternatives!
